Title: "Reset on Disable" default option in preferences
Post by: HeyDreyDrey on March 15, 2012, 11:42:52 PM
Hey, have to tell you that playMaker is saving me a lot of time.  Not a fan of this "visual" programming yet but a Visual State Machines with Actions was definitely what I was looking for.

I'm terribly surprise to find Unity3d doesn't have a unified pause method ( sorry but I think setting time scale to zero is asking for trouble and more time-wasting workarounds down the road )

So i'm working on a strategy to "stop" processes and Reset on Disable is a big player. I was hoping for a default option in preferences to disable them on the component's creation.

Think it can be worked into 1.3.3 :)? Do you have some other advice?

In fact, if you can can figure out some magic for a clean pause solution and a game object group time scale.  That'll just be...well magical.  I imagine the user might have to completely rely on playMaker for component management and such but...sounds worth it for a new project.
