Title: Really need some help im banging my head of a wall

Hi all ok so i have a general 2d sprite as im making a 2d game however i have 2 problems:

1) i have gravity set to 1 mass 1 etc but the charcter floats down and i have to increase the gravity to 7 just to get him to fall correctly which would suggest to me i have an incorrect setting somewhere

2) i have all animations working including jumping etc but when my charcter jumps he teleports instead of jumping up also i have tpo have my jump y force at 1000 just to get him to actually jump anyform of distance

any help at all in this matter would be greatly appriciated i am new to playmaker but have followed various different guides with varying results
