Title: Very confused about Parallax Scrolling, Playmakers role in it and 2d toolkit
Post by: poopsterspappy on September 27, 2013, 10:51:16 PM
Hey all,

I've narrowed it down to using Playmaker with either uni2D or 2dtoolkit. Are either responsible for achieving scrolling backgrounds? Or do I need something like Thinkscroller? If so do I have to worry about compatibility issues between plugins?  :(

                                        Thank you

                                  A very confused artist

Uni2D/2DToolkit don't support ParallaxScrolling out of the box, so either way you have to do it yourself with a seperate camera.

Thinkscroller will do the job!

If you dig around the 2d toolkit forum you will find a parallax option. It is a script that you place into your camera while adding as many cameras you need to complete the effect.

It comes in a package with an example that I have used on all my projects so far.
