Title: Killer retro racing game for mobile
Post by: clandestine on September 23, 2014, 12:38:08 PM
Hey guys, here is a little sneak peek at my upcoming game for android tablets (and hopefully iOS devices). It is entirely done with PlayMaker (HUD, bikes, everything)!

The vision is inspired by Tomy Turnin Turbo Dashboard, Super Hang On and a magical music mix by composer Kliment Dichev.

The idea is to go back to a world where games were basic clean fun, no ingame purchases, no social networks, no leaderboards... just enjoy playing until reaching the end.

The video is of the first 2 levels.

Thanks for looking!

Hey guys, writing here not to spam the forum:

I have a weird issue with Load Level. In the actions browser besides the action name, there is a number in brackets showing how many times an action is used, right? Ok, some times it shows the correct number, sometimes it doesnt show anything. The problem is that when it doesnt show (in my case Load Level) and i add the action it doesnt work... looks correct but doesnt work. The only way i've found to fix this is to restart Unity. Has any of you faced this situation before? Do you have any ideas or workarounds?

Thanks

The idea came to me from Tomy Turnin Turbo Dashboard, which is an electromechanical toy racer. To achieve the effect they printed the road on the inside of a transparent cylinder and projected it like diapositive on the small screen...
To keep it as close as possible to the real toy i did the same, all the levels are modeled inside a cylinder, so there is no special effect or script there.
