I think it is specifically Unity 4.2.1 that it compiles for... haven't tried 4.2.0

2
Are you on Unity 4.3 ?  I had to go back to 4.2 to get it to compile... They are working on an update, but I dont know how long til it is submitted.

Yes, I've definitely learned the hard way.  I usually avoid a major release but had to try with all the goodies.

Error building Player: Exception: Error: method `System.String System.Text.Encoding::GetString(System.Byte[])` doesn't exist in target framework. It is referenced from PlayMaker.dll at System.String HutongGames.PlayMaker.FsmUtility::ByteArrayToString(System.Byte[]).

I'm using PlayMaker Ver1.7.5.f2 - Windows Phone 8 Version.  Any ideas where to look?

Playmaker Help / Re: Sending EventData in C#
« on: October 27, 2013, 03:08:14 PM »
Thankfully I solved this.  If anyone else tries to use Fsm.EventData... in any C# script you must include:
Code: [Select]
using HutongGames.PlayMaker; //the namespace Fsm.EventData belongs toat the top of your script.  Otherwise Fsm.EventData is not recognized.

If you are making a custom action using Fsm.EventData (such as SetEventData.cs), then wrap your script in
Code: [Select]
namespace HutongGames.PlayMaker.Actions
{
}
This is now [SOLVED] if someone wants to update the Subject Title (or can I do that?).

OK, surrounding my code with 'namespace HutongGames.PlayMaker.Actions' makes it compile but now other scripts don't recognize my script (so more compile errors).  This could be trouble.  Any easier way?

Playmaker Help / Sending EventData in C#[SOLVED]
« on: October 25, 2013, 12:25:33 PM »
Hi Guys,
I'm porting from UnityScript to C#.  The following works in US:
Code: [Select]
aiStrategyFSM.Fsm.EventData.IntData = shotTypeIndex; //aiStrategyFSM is my FSM component reference, shotTypeIndex is my int var
aiStrategyFSM.SendEvent(checkStrategy);

The same code in C# throws error: "Static Member 'HutongGames.PlayMaker.Fsm.EventData' cannot be accessed with an instance reference, qualify it with a type name instead.

So according to this thread
http://hutonggames.com/playmakerforum/index.php?topic=84.msg484#msg484

I tried the following in C#:
Code: [Select]
Fsm.EventData.IntData = shotType;
aiStrategyFSM.SendEvent(checkStrategy); //send event code
But the Fsm.EventData... line throws an error: "Fsm" does not exist in the current context.  What am I missing?  My C# skills are not great... yet.  :)

BlackBerry10 Help / Re: In App Purchasing BB plugin
« on: October 05, 2013, 01:19:50 PM »
I will give Reign a try on the next update.  Game is Cross Court Tennis 2, just approved this week.  Downloads and purchases are good so far and discovery is better I think from less competition.

I coded in Unity Script to use the BB plugin for In app purchase.  I'm still migrating to C#, to get the game on Windows 8 Phone.  I'm new at C# sadly.

That's good to hear.  I may try Reign's plugin for Ads.
Yes, unless you or someone makes Playmaker Actions for BB IAP you will need to code.  I can help a little here and there.  I used the Blackberry's plugin and have my game for sale on BB World.

Hi, you might get a little help in the unity blackberry forum.  I can say that you need to initiate a listener, only a simple line of code. Then create a function of the same name something like purchaseSuccessful.  This is where you change your logic to unlock the game.  Refer to their listener test code in the demo scene.

Yes, i use itween all over, mostly tweening GUI elements.  I was going to convert everything but i'd obviously rather not.  How can i try the work in progress?

Seeing the same Photon script errors using 1.7.5

14
Hey Hutong,
I just began the unpleasant job of porting my game to WP8 and the first stop is importing Playmaker to an empty project.  I imported PlayMaker (v1.7.5) with no issues, then imported the WP8 add on (v1.7.5) with no issues.  I went to build and got Photon errors.  I think Unity does not support networking in WP8 yet, so what folders should I delete to make this go away?  Is this in a "Read Me" somewhere that I'm missing?  Thanks

Edit: I deleted the entire "Photon Unity Network" folder and it compiles now.
