Its not finished yet but I am working on porting the platformer game I am working on to PSVita.

Will hopefully have more updates on it soon.

Just getting the first level done, will then be doing some testing on the PSVita to see how well it preforms etc

Quick little update on Solus2.5D

I have managed to update the interface to use UGUI which I love :) and was very easy thanks to Playmaker actions available!



I am hoping to get the first demo level playable this week for some much needed feedback on how it plays etc as at the moment its just been me playing the level...and im somewhat bored of it hehe

Hi,

Just a quick question really

I have a number of prefabs that have inactive actions (unticked them) this is because I have been testing different ways of preforming the action and didnt always remove actions I no longer need.

Would this cause any kind of performance hit? Does Playmaker still check these actions even if they are ignored?

Hey

I have removed 2D toolkit and basically just have UGUI

I have a canvas and inside that canvas are two text elements.

A normal one that just has the text Score:

and then a text 0 which is positioned next to the score text.

I basically want this second text (0) to update to show the score variable whenever the players score increases.

Therefore what should happen

1) Player lands on a gem
2) score int increases by 1
3) send event to hud manager FSM
4) Hud manager FSM converts int to string
5) send event to text (0)
6) text 0 updates to show what the string is _ IE score

Hi

I am trying to change my current GUI to the new Unity 4.6 UGUI.

I have downloaded the unity package from the wiki, however I am completely lost on how to display some text based on a variable...

I have followed the YouTube video but this only shows how to display text based on the slider and I dont want that.

The text I am trying to display is score.

I have two variables (score_i) and (score_s)

When the player picks up an object I have Int Add - Score_I + 1)

I then use Send event to my Hud manager, convert the int into a String and then use Tk 2d actions to update what score is being displayed.

I have no clue on how I would get a text UGUI to update based on what that specific variable is...

Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi

I am working on an element of my game where fireballs shoot from the ground upwards and then despawn after 1 second.

It works fine in that I have them spawn, shoot up and then despawn. Issue I am facing is over time the amount of force seems to decrease, the first fireball shoots up and then gradually it shoots up less - Any idea why since it should be spawning a new version each time...

Well I previously used a kit that changed from Legacy to Mecanim

My character uses Legacy so would want that functionality to remain :)

its been awhile since I have posted anything for Solus 2.5D

I am still working on it, just been focused on getting work done on it :)

here is a little demo video showing some sound effects added as I work on polishing the first demo level.

All done in Playmaker

Please dont remove current animation for mecanim though as thats what I use for my current project :P

Hey

Cannot seem to get this working right - not used addforce so not sure if im doing something wrong.

I have 2 items;

1) Fire Pit - This has a child object "SpawnPoint" (this is where the fireballs spawn)

On the parent object I have the following FSM

Wait - which leads to pmt Spawn (which spawns the fireball at the Spawn point)

2) The Fireball

This object has a rigidbody Mass of 1, angular drag of 0.5 and gravity is selected, Kinematic is NOT selected

On the Game object I have the FSM;

State one: - Get Owner
State Two: Add force;

GO: Owner
At Position: none
Vector: none
X: 0
Y: 50
Z: 0
Space: Self
:ForceMode: Force
Every Frame: No

Any help on getting this sorted would be great!!
