Action Requests / Re: String Typewriter - Cutting words
« on: September 19, 2017, 02:31:36 PM »
Hi djaydino,

I just needed this action to finish my little game, so I finally asked a friend to do something I could use, as I couldn't wait any longer. Maybe you can use it to improve it.

Thanks a lot for your interest. I really appreciate it.

Share New Actions / Typewriter Textmesh Pro without cutting words

Hi,

I needed a typewriter action that didn't cut the words when they reached the limit of the size box. The word that doesn't fit should be displayed right in the next line.

A programmer friend from work offered his help and create this action for me. It doesn't have all the options of the original typewriter action but gets the job done and is what I need (it was also the first time my friend was doing something with Unity and Playmaker). If someone else wants to improve it, be my guess. :)

This doesn't seem to work with string variables.

Playmaker Help / Animate buttons Package
« on: August 23, 2017, 09:54:08 AM »
Hi,

I'm tired of fighting with my buttons' animations. I wonder if someone can recommend me a specific package from the asset store, with a bunch of animations ready to be used in the uGUI.

I saw this, but I'm not sure whether it can do it:

Thanks a lot djaydino. :)
I think it can be a nice addition to the existing action.

Yes. Once I setup the box the size will be always the same.

Hi,

I'm using the String Typewriter effect to write some texts in a iGUI text box. However what happens many times is that the words close to the limit of the border of the box get cut and jump to the next line. The effect is not nice and I was wondering whether there is away to improve it.

For instance, if I write a sentence. "Hello, This is a test" but the text box is smaller than the whole text, what happens is that I'll see this: "Hello, This is a te" in the line, and right after "Hello, This is a (in the first line) test (in the second line).

Does it make sense? "Test" will start writing in the first line, but because there is not enough space, it will jump to the second line.

Edit: I have been investigating and aparently there is a script that makes something similar in the templates of TextMeshPro. Is there anyway to implement it to the existing Typewriter effect?

Playmaker Bug Reporting / Take Screenshot crashes Unity 2017 1.0f3
« on: August 04, 2017, 10:24:27 AM »
As the subject pointed out, if I put the "take screenshot" action into my state machine, Unity crashes. Interesting thing is that in the playmaker editor it looks like it doesn't even reach that state where the action is, but if remove the action, then everything works as usual.

Thanks! I couldn't find it!
Now all warnings are gone! :)

Playmaker Help / Game Analytics Example Error
« on: May 12, 2017, 02:57:44 PM »
Hi,

I'm starting to investigate about Game Analytics and when I wanted to look into the example scene, I got a bunch of errors.

I'm running Unity 5.5.0f3 + Playmaker 1.8.4 and GA 3.9.12

Is this scene outdated?

Official Action Updates / Re: Conditional Expression Action (BETA)
« on: May 08, 2017, 08:19:59 AM »
Hi,

Yes, this package is not the right one, So it won't install properly.

I did test on the latest beta and I can confirm that both global variables and expression update are now working, so watch for the next PlayMaker update on the Asset Store, it will be available then.

 Bye,

 Jean

How do you call for the global variable? Could you write down an example for the expression, please? :)
