Playmaker Help / slow FSM

Hi,

I have some logic in my FSMs to instantiate and then update the values on some 2d objects. They instantiate at the start of the app into a scrollrect, and then only values are updated when that specific view is pushed. It seems very slow however, I can tell because the animation which is played when other view is poped off stack laggs for 1-2 seconds.

Are FSMs ran frame by frame, in terms of actions or is there a way to put the FSM into a coroutine or something? Worst case scenario I will have to redo the whole logic in code instead but if there is a way to make this smoother then I would prefer that.

Action Requests / TablePro Asset

Hi All

I made an action to generate table based on input from XML with Table Pro Asset

You simply select the xml source, select go with Table component, supply the xpath for headers, rows and off you go.

The table works best when you input it in XML as a html table so a bit like this:

Playmaker Help / WWWSprite causes a lag spike[SOLVED]

Hi there,

I'm trying to download a texture using the WWWSprite action, however it causes the app to freeze for 2-3 seconds which isn't very nice. I though it may be that it wasn't in a coroutine but after making it inside of one it still didn't help.

In the profiler most of the memory takes up the SpriteMeshGenerator.TraceShape 19% and FSM Late Update 52%

I recently made a little script that handles menu and I used stack for it, it works quite well however I'm wondering if there is stack in playmaker, there are lists, arrays but couldn't find anything like stack.

Hi there

I'm getting a very weird behavior on player pref has key and get int.

Basically, even though the has key should be false, it's always true even if the key shows blank....

And get int always returns 1 when the key is blank...

Playmaker Help / certificate error on iOS

Hi,

When using the wwwPost mobile action with Amazon's S3 i'm getting the ssl certificate error

TlsException: Invalid certificate received from server. Error code: 0xffffffff800b010a

I'm aware that mono by default does not trust anything, I did import the certificates but error still persists. Anyone please? It's strange because few days ago it worked and now all of a sudden it doesn't...

Hi there,

I needed this for my app, so I made a quick action if anyone needs it.

It calculates the error margin between two strings, and gives  you the result in an int. Optionally you can setup an int to compare with and send events.

Playmaker Help / Memory keeps growing[SOLVED]

Hi,

While using the app, I've noticed that the memory just keeps growing and growing, and it doesn't decrease, so eventually after playing 20-30 minutes it will crash. I know about profiler, but it doesn't seem to show the exact points/variables where the memory is assigned etc.. Or It might but I don't know where to look. And it's definitely an FSM that is doing this since it's only when I click certain things but without knowing what exactly causes this it's hard for me to find out as there is +100 fsms and a lot of variables.

Playmaker Help / Very low sound on phone

I have the 3D sound turned off and still the volume of my UI sounds in the app is very low when played on Iphone, in editor it seems to be okay but it's way too low on the phone. Any ideas what could be wrong?

As in title.. I have this FSM, basically at the end of the level, it destroys the dynamic word text objects and indeed it does in editor... Everything works perfect, but when running on iOS the objects stay when next level loads with different content and it messes up actions.

I don't know whether i'm missing something, maybe a linker entry or something but my other "Destroy" actions work just fine, so it's a bit weird.

Playmaker Help / Template async?

Hi there,

This might be an easy question but I've not tested this, I only had a few strange behaviours..

So when the finish event isn't specified in run fsm action and the state has a FINISHED transition - Will the state run the template, and immediately transition to the next stage with the template running async, or will it wait to finish and then transition "finished" ?

And if not then is there a way to use c#'s threading system, async tasks in Playmaker?
