Android Help / Usig uGUI to match all screen size available
« on: April 06, 2015, 03:16:40 PM »

Here is y problem... I'd like to find a way to use uGUI (which is cool) and be able to have the same result on any screen, on any device...
When looking at Android device, there are un bunch of screen size and when I test it I found myself force to test my text on every possible screen size... and my screen is not that big (today devices screen size go up to 2560X1600).

I found a way by building my text from sprite letters.... no need to say that it is a pain in the ...s to write all I have to write in different languages. But it works and in one go I have the same feel on any screen size...

I also don't want to load too many pictures in my a first game I made (Piggy Bank found on the Play Store), I used text panel, but I'm not too pleased with the result and uGUI is so interesting...

Well if anybody have any idea...that will work with PM without any coding involve of course :)...

Have all a nice time

Feature Requests / Some idea for the UI...

I've just made a game using Playmaker ("Piggy Bank", see the App Store or and it was a real pleasure. I wouldn't been able to do it without this plugin.

I have to thanks all those who are behind this piece of software because it make me be able to give concret form to my indie casual game creator dream.

Still I found that there were some little thinks that could help using it even more easily.

It would be nice to be able to goup node in the editor so when you have a complex tree of node it could be easier to manage them all. If you ever used Shake, Fusion or Nuke (3D compositor) you know what I mean.

I don't know what it would cost in developping but if we could do some Custom Action based on nodes tree it could also be easier to manage complex FSM. I mean a kind of template but stack in one node and save in an action folder. Of course you can always code these, but then again when coding give you headache, you're so pleased to find some solution to avoid it !

I've read that there will be in a next release, a way to zoom in the editor and that was also something that I lack so thanks again for what you've done and what you're going to do.

User Showcase / Piggy Bank
« on: January 10, 2013, 10:18:26 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have develop Piggy Bank using Playmaker and it's now on sale on the App Store. It's my first game and I have to say that I wouldn't be able to do it without a plugin as userfriendly as Playmaker.

Piggy Bank is an endless game of luck and skills.
In Piggy Bank, your goal is to save as much "Piglings" as you can. Every coins and courses are randomly distributed.
You will have to roll your coin to the Piggy Bank by tilting your device from left to right.
On the way you might get some "Poglets" more (think of them as cents or pennies) given by the Gift Boxes.
The faster you go the more you save since the "Time Bonus" will add some Poglets to your score...or not.
The more you save the more courses you'll have to roll on... and less easier it might become.

You can find more details on (still a WIP website, but the infos are there)

Try it, there is a free limited version available of the game and the full one is on SALE till 01/31. It works on Iphone and Ipad but also on Android, just look for Amazing Piggy Bank on Google Play or Amazon App Store

Hope you will enjoy it.

Feel free to comment and give your appreciation. Thanks.
