Playmaker Help / Vector Reflect in a Unity 2D (4.3) game
« on: January 12, 2014, 10:18:20 AM »
Hello everyone.

Can someone help me figuring out this problem?

I need to make a ball bounce off a wall in Unity 2D.

Before I could use the Vector3.Reflect present at the Vector3 Operator Actions.

But in Unity2D, I don't think it'll work, since there's no actions for this yet (right?)

So, does anyone knows how it can be done?

Playmaker Help / Large Numbers - Doubt
« on: August 12, 2013, 05:10:05 PM »
Hello everyone.

I have a variable (int) that stores the population size of a planet, but, when it reaches a little over 2 billion, the value turns to negative and gets all messed up.

I believe it's because an INT number can only go so high.

What can I do to get bigger numbers, like 10 billion or so?  :o

Thanks for your help.

I just published my first game in Google Play, and I'd like to share it with everyone in this community.

It's a simple game for children, that helped me develop my Unity Android/Playmaker skills, without much frustration, so don't complain if it's too simple for you :)

Please rate it well to help a fellow developer stay motivated!

Thank you for your 5 stars!  ;)

Android Help / Thinking about buying Android license
« on: March 05, 2013, 04:53:24 PM »
Hello friends!  ;D

I'm thinking about buying the Android Indie license ($400) to start developing games and non-game apps for the android market. But I have a few doubts i'd like to clear with more experience users before I spend money. I hope you can help me:

1) The setting up process (installing android SDK, connecting with Unity, developing, building and publishing in Google Play market) normally simple, that a begginer could do, or it takes an experienced developer to complete these tasks?

2) Is it more difficult to make an android game than a PC game in Unity and Playmaker?

3) Is it easy to port an android game (made with Playmaker) to iOS, with minimal adjustments?

4) How's the best way to deal with the resolutions and height/width variations among several android devices? Would NGUI help in this task?

5) What's the maximun Drawcall value sugested?

6) Is it easy to use Ads? Which one is the best?

7) Is it common to make, at least, $1000 from sales or ads, in the Google Play? What's the most you got?

8) Any other tips?

Please leave your impressions.

thanks! 8)

Action Requests / Mesh Deform
« on: January 24, 2013, 04:48:12 PM »
I'd like to sugest a Action to Deform Mesh.

It could have some options like, change in depth and width of the distortion.

It could also allow some object to dynamically change a mesh, for example: a sphere that would deform a plane below, and once you changed the size of this sphere, the mesh would change also, in runtime.

User Showcase / Pale Blue: First game on PlayMaker
« on: January 19, 2013, 07:26:09 PM »
Hello folks!

I just finished my first 'game' in Playmaker.
Play it here:

It's actually just a prototype that I came up during my studies of Playmaker and Blender.

I focused a lot more in the softwares than in actually making something with a story.

Please, check it out and rate it 5 star! A little share in Facebook can't hurt either  :)

And let me know what you think, and what could have been done to make it better!

C ya.

Playmaker Help / FSM and Prefab Clones [SOLVED]
« on: January 11, 2013, 06:50:13 AM »
Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem when setting up a group of objects that were all created from the same prefab but will perform differently in the game world, depending on their location.

For example: In my game, if the prefab(clone) is in the position X, they will Enable a FSM to change colour. All others prefab(clone) objects will remain the same, with their FSM Disabled.

But what happens is, when any of the prefabs reach the Trigger point, the FSM of all the clones become Enabled.  >:(

What can I do to separate these Clones behaviours?

Playmaker Help / GUI Switch - Clicking and Holding a GUI Button [SOLVED]
« on: January 02, 2013, 03:18:47 PM »

I'm having some trouble using a GUI element as a Switch.   ???

What I need is a button that when I click and hold on it, some object will move. If I stop clicking it, the object stops.

The problems is that a GUI Button only sets it's transition after you release the mouse button. When I try to change the transition to MOUSE DOWN, the GUI Button does nothing.

I know that I could use this same concept if I click a Game Object, but I'd like to do it with a GUI element.

Can someone help me?
