After installing 'U Gui Proxy Full' from ecosystem, console insists on the following:

Assets/PlayMaker DataMaker/Xml/__internal__/Editor/DataMakerActionEditorUtils.cs(379,65): error CS0117: `HutongGames.PlayMaker.Ecosystem.Utils.PlayMakerInspectorUtils' does not contain a definition for `SetActionEditorArrayVariableSelectionContext'
Edit: I deleted DataMaker and PM UGUI folders and reinstalled in opposite order; PM UGUI first, then DataMaker, which seems to have fixed it for now.

Hi there! All was was fine until data maker was imported from ecosystem on Unity 5.4.f1 & PM 1.8.2 with the following message:

Assets/PlayMaker Utils/Wizards/LinkerWizard/Editor/LinkerEditorChecks.cs(19,44): error CS1503: Argument `#1' cannot convert `System.Type' expression to type `string'

Any ideas on going forward?

I've been looking to do this a few times when nothing shows up in the FSM log. Something is triggering an event and I can't pinpoint what is. Is a search doable or do I need to go through all element 1 by 1 to find the offender?

Playmaker Help / Vector Axis to rotation

I'm getting my vector3 from axis input, which determines which way the player faces, he walks in place, while the sphere he walks on should rotate towards him. Translating the vector3 into rotation doesn't do the job. Any tips on how I should approach this?

And how would I go about it if the globe was uneven terrain (varying heights)

Not sure if this is a bug, so wanted to check if others are getting this and if there's a fix. Basically it's giving off a constant stream of warnings, interchangeably id#731778507 and #1553546589. With the text:

Parameter 'Hash 1553546589' does not exist.

Sorry to see the "latest posts list", that used to be on the front page, go. I can understand if it had to go because of forum speed or something, but I think it was a very convenient way to check for replies and overall topic traffic, much easier than "View the most recent posts on the forum" link, which lists the posts in full.

General Discussion / Tool tips for touch interface

How do you guys go about this; when there is no hover, to make the user aware of how the interface works?

Time based tooltips is what I can come up with; small modal boxes that fade in by the detection of of unused properties (can be inactivated in settings menu), though I'm not sure the best way to do this yet.

Do I really need an IAP plugin to get a donation button working? I haven't really read up on what you need to do to get 'in app purchases' to work, any hints on a good place to start that will cover the basics in brevity?

Playmaker Help / Simple way to load a markup text to string

Hi, I've checked the array/data-maker samples, but this is still foggy territory for me (without any video/visual tutorials). The only action I see relating to text is 'Split text to array'. I simply want to load pages of markup text for DFGUI labels from an external text file (and later on do localisation from spreadsheet), preserving the text as is. Any hints?

Playmaker Help / Swipe only when over GUI [Solved]

I'm at a loss on how to solve this one. I'm using DFGUI, but I think the problem is 'universal'. How to raycast or detect in some way if ones touch is over a GUI element? as the GUI cam is a fixed orthogonal one, and the regular 'game cam' won't detect hitting that layer.

Attached is an image of my wish to only activate swipe when over specific GUI elements, swipe left-right = green layer and up-down = red layer and no swipe for purplish GUI. But when touch is over the 3d guy in the dark greenish area I don't want swipe to work, just regular touch (orbit cam), and viceversa I don't want to orbit the character when I touch the GUI.

Playmaker Help / Master slider to control 5 floats

Hi, I'm trying to make a master slider which controls the subsequent opacity decrease on 5 subgroups. Say the slider goes from 0 to 5; from 0 to 1- group #1 is gradually disappeared , between 1 and 2- group #2 is disappeared, and so on.

The example that shows a slider turning off the visibility of 4 cubes, does not seem applicable in this case as it's based on ints. I'm thinking I'll need a float switch but then the clues stop Any ideas?

Action Requests / Daikon Forge

A few event binding actions for this would be so nice! This GUI package looks the winner to me, with its WYSIWYG and easy intuitive interface.

I tested the evaluation version: http://www.daikonforge.com/dfgui/free-version/
the slider was easy to hook up with get/set property, the event bindings for buttons and color picker I haven't had any luck in connecting to PM.

Playmaker Help / Animation speed with slider[Solved]

I have 4 individual objects with legacy rig animations on them, all the same length. I'd like to have a slider control the speed of their looping animations in unison. What I have is following actions on each of the 4 models:



But it stops the animation loop and can't see if speed is updated?

...
Also how can I control that when scrubbing the slider the camera orbit action doesn't activate simultaneously?
