Playmaker Help / Re: Vector Reflect in a Unity 2D (4.3) game
« on: January 14, 2014, 05:22:52 AM »
Here's what I want to do.

I don't understand which Vector2 actions i should use to:
1) get direction from arrow.
2) during collision, reflect on the normal vector of the barrier.
3) give arrow new direction.

Any ideas?

Thanks again.

Thanks everyone.

But i'm having some problems with the workflow.

I never used Vector2 before, so what do I do?
I'm not following how this will be turned into rotation.
There is no Get Vector2 Value, only Set.

 :( :( :( :(

Playmaker Help / Vector Reflect in a Unity 2D (4.3) game

Hello everyone.

Can someone help me figuring out this problem?

I need to make a ball bounce off a wall in Unity 2D.

Before I could use the Vector3.Reflect present at the Vector3 Operator Actions.

But in Unity2D, I don't think it'll work, since there's no actions for this yet (right?)

So, does anyone knows how it can be done?

Thanks!

How much money you made from this game?

Did you use AdMob?

Thanks for your tips, everyone.

I'll start soon to do some advertising on the game.

What I meant is that, even being extremely easy making games with Unity+Playmaker, that alone will never make you game a success.

If Alphageddon were to be the next Angry Birds (sadly, I know it isn't) it would never be a huge hit without a great deal of advertising and PR to get the game into some blogs.

Also, i'll be soon releasing a webplayer version, to boost the downloads from the android version.

Will soon release for iOS also.

Thanks for your reply!!!

Playmaker Help / Re: Large Numbers - Doubt
« on: August 13, 2013, 04:34:19 AM »
Thanks, guys!

Alex's idea should work better for me.

I need granularity, so i'll try to fake a variation for the numbers at the end of the string.

But it'd be great if we could use larger numbers more easily. It's an issue with Unity or Playmaker? Can it be fixed in the future?

Playmaker Help / Large Numbers - Doubt
« on: August 12, 2013, 05:10:05 PM »
Hello everyone.

I have a variable (int) that stores the population size of a planet, but, when it reaches a little over 2 billion, the value turns to negative and gets all messed up.

I believe it's because an INT number can only go so high.

What can I do to get bigger numbers, like 10 billion or so?  :o

Thanks for your help.

Great you enjoyed it, Kiriri.

The game is for children, so you can't really die, just lose points.

Please share with friends, specially those with kids.

I just published my first game in Google Play, and I'd like to share it with everyone in this community.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.TOPgames.Happy_Star_Adventures&feature=search_result

It's a simple game for children, that helped me develop my Unity Android/Playmaker skills, without much frustration, so don't complain if it's too simple for you :)

Please rate it well to help a fellow developer stay motivated!

Thank you for your 5 stars!  ;)
