Playmaker Help / Re: FSM works in Editor, but not in build

Haha Alex is the guy that made Playmaker. Report a bug.

It was just a conflicting old version when I tried to update playmaker. Deleted and reinstalled fixed the issue.

Playmaker Help / FSM works in Editor, but not in build[SOLVED]

No FSM is running in the build, but works perfectly in Unity.

When running a dev build I get this spammed error (the path is not to my own computer, don't know who Alex is! :) ):

Playmaker Help / Help with logic, I'm stuck! [SOLVED]
« on: April 04, 2018, 08:05:33 AM »
Hi,
Can someone help me with pseudo code regarding camera collision for a third person camera system?

Hierarchy:
Cam Pivot Object > Camera Pos Object > Main Camera

I use the pivot to rotate the camera, and the pos object for the default camera position.

I can't wrap my head around how I should use the raycast to update the camera's position without creating infinite loops that keep updating the same position.

Any help would be wonderful.

General Discussion / Re: Loosing game object reference
« on: April 02, 2018, 03:05:23 AM »
Hi,

 are you trying to reference of an instance in the scene instead of a prefab on the assets folder and in between load a new scene or something? usually reference are getting lost because of this.

 Bye,

 Jean

Thank you for the swift answer! :)

I know this limitation of the Unity engine - however, that shouldn't be the case if I use the "Find Game Object" to update the correct reference each play session (if I'm not mistaken). It seems as if the reference is made, but to the old session cached object instead. I'm starting to suspect a bug.

I'm using "Find Child" instead and "Set Game Object" to a global variable. Which seems to solve the problem, but it's still mildly unsettling. :)

General Discussion / Loosing game object reference
« on: April 01, 2018, 12:17:37 PM »
I'm trying to create a projectile from a firepoint gameobject that is a child of the weapon.

* Event1
Find Game Object and store to "Firepoint"
* Event2
Create object at "Firepoint"

It stores the reference correctly the first time you play test it, but the second play through the reference is lost and the bullet is spawned from 0,0,0.

Any ideas what's going on?

Thank you!

No difference - The lower price is just an incentive for academic institutions and students to learn and use Playmaker, which inevitably lead to more sales.

This looks really good, congratulations!

Wish I could try it out, but I have no roomscale VR unfortunately!
