Windows Store Apps Help / Re: window store and iOS questions

Thanks for the info. Yup, you're correct touch does work on all the platform. But I noticed only one finger touch. Is there Multifinger on Window 8 supported? With or without playmaker support.

Windows Store Apps Help / window store and iOS questions
« on: April 15, 2015, 05:33:44 PM »

I plan to develop using a Window 8 touch screen laptop. My target is Window 8/10 tablets. I also plan to export all the asset into a Mac and develop an iOS version.

I'm new to Window 8, but very familiar with Window 7. My questions:

- Is Window store what I should be targeting if I want to develop Window tablet (I'm fine if they want to use laptop with touch screen ;)) that is all touch base? Is this called metro app?

- What do I need (license, apps) to develop on Window 8? If I just want to tinker, can I use other method without committing to a license until I get serious?

- Does Playmaker have a touch action that will work for Window 8? Are these touch action transferable to iOS? Or do I need an addon?

- Anything else should know when developing for both platform and maybe Android?

- Any sites I should check to get more info?

Thanks in advance!

Playmaker Help / questions regarding sending events and other questions
« on: September 17, 2013, 04:26:52 PM »
I'm creating a kid's book. It's a linear book and nothing fancy: Mouse click a trigger, objects plays an animation (using iTween), mouse click again, objects plays another animation, and repeat. I just started and is currently using Send Event on mouse click to send event to objects with animation. Here's my questions:

How do I stop animation from playing when play is pressed...and wait for mouse click event?

Once animation is completed, how do I wait for next mouse click and play next set of animation?

How do I disable mouse click while animation is being played?

What action do I use to add delay? eg. I want an intruction to be visible for a few second before it dissapear via mouse click.

Hi, I'm looking for an action (could be a logic??) that looks at a distance that is stored in a variable. I want to be able to set distance and once set distance is reached, it would initiate an event.

I been looking at logic, but can't find anything.

Thanks for the info. I want my object to spring back (with physics) to original position. I tried containing the object in box with reverse normal and rigidbody, but for some reason the object slips right through. Still no solution.

Playmaker Help / contraining spring joint distance
« on: March 16, 2013, 04:17:56 PM »

I have an object with a spring joint constrained to a pivot. I am able to grab the object with a mouse, let go and object would spring back-and-forth until it stops. What I want is to put a distance constraint. When I grab the object and KEEP pulling back, once set distance is reached, I want the object to automatically let go.

You can use a mouse pick and store as a vector 3. Then have the object follow that vector 3.

Is it a gui type drag or a drag through the scene?

Thanks for the reply.
Drag through scene.
So, I tried using translate, but rather than moving slowly, it pops into position.

I want to grab an object with a mouse and be able to drag around the screen. What actions should I be using?

I just been using playmaker for 2 weeks.

I want to grab an object with mouse, drag it, let go, and have it spring back and forth on a pivot until it looses energy. What actions do I use?

grab an object
drag an object
object bounce/spring? physic
lock down on a pivot

This is all done in 2D...orthographic camera.
