Share New Actions / Re: NavMeshAgent knockback action

Are you using a Navmesh agent?

I found the proper way to do it with a NavMesh agent is to also use a rigidbody- this is the way I do it now-

So when the agent is hit you switch off the NavmeshAgent- then enable the rigidbody + add a physics force and let that play out for a bit- this way agents can fall from heights etc-

I'll make a new version of this that incorporates that and post it here soon-

Hello- the dev had asked me to make some Motion Controller PM actions some time ago but I didn't end up getting to that-

If there aren't any PM actions for Motion Controller at this time let me know and I'll make some if you let me know which actions would be the most useful- thanks  :)

Hey there sorry for the late reply- haven't been on the forum in months as I was lost in C# land  :)

It's not supposed to have that line- I'll take a look at the action tomorrow and see if I can update it + re-upload it

I'm glad it's useful- I have a ton of custom Playmaker actions and Behavior Designer tasks I've made over the past year so I'll prob be adding some new stuff here too-

Good ideas- thanks! And thank you for telling me about the broken video link  :-[

As a Playmaker user the biggest thing for me has been learning basic programming to make custom actions and front end scripts for Playmaker so I will really focus on that-

I've done one custom action vid here ^_^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XB8cfZOP3Q

I think what the Opsive forums does is a good idea- you must submit your invoice# for the asset to register http://opsive.com/forum/

Seems to keep all the spam out and makes for a nice and helpful forum atmosphere-

Don't know if this is your issue but its one I ran into with FinalIk and Playmaker-

When working with Final Ik- you have to make it so Look at scripts or others that alter the objects FinalIk is affecting execute after Final Ik-

As far as I know you are not able to do this with Playmaker actions at this time-

In order to make them work correctly they should have their script execution order a lower priority than FinalIk-

To do this I used a regular C# look at script instead of a Playmaker action-

Playmaker Help / Re: Question about Easy Save and Easy Save 2
« on: March 23, 2017, 05:45:17 PM »
Easy save is an asset- the easy save 2 you found on ecosystem is a set of Playmaker actions for the easy save asset- in order to use the actions you need to purchase and install the easy save asset.

Playmaker Help / Re: Getting light component from a game object
« on: March 05, 2017, 11:52:44 AM »
You can create an object variable

Set the type to light

Then you can use the variable

A custom action would be best- but you can get it with get component

Oh ok- if you want to save a variable type that PM does not support use the Object variable type- you have to set the variable type after creating the variable by usually choosing UnityEngine--> then the object type

Use the "get property" action

It sounds like you need an OverlapBox

If you are a Playmaker user I highly recommend using Behavior Designer together with Playmaker- it makes a very powerful and easy to use combination.

Behavior designer also has some useful tasks that allow you to do utility theory decision making which can make for a much more flexible and lifelike AI-

If you do go with behavior designer- here are a bunch of custom Behavior designer tasks I've made- many are Playmaker converts https://github.com/mdotstrange/CustomBehaviorDesignerTasks

And I sell a video tutorial course on Behavior Designer for Playmaker users https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nvq9Y2QmW4E
