Share New Actions / Activate NavMesh Agent and NavMesh Obstacle

I was missing these two from the NavMesh Suite. You know NavMesh Agents / Obstacles are almost always instanced prefabs and activating the path finding component through setproperty is not going to work for instanced prefabs.

If you have bought NGUI HUD Text. A nice way for attaching NGUI widgets (health bar, dialogs etc) to your NPCs.

You will need this to attach the GUI to the target object.

PS. I don't know if Jean is already working on this. Or I'll post the other NGUI HUD actions. Let me know.

Returns the Gameobject within an arrayList which have the maximum float value in its FSM. Also returns the index and the max float value.

Supposedly, you want to find the gameobject in an arraylist which have the Max value of particular float variable in its FSM this action will come handy. Like, you have an Arraylist full of Enemies, which one has the max health?

Another little one. A derivative mix of get closest with physics linecast.

Finds the nearest game object in an array which is not blocked by any other object. Found it useful in TD games and such.

Share New Actions / Float Compare Store Boolean

Another little action. Nothing special. A variance of Float Comparison action.

Compares two floats and store them in Booleans. Can come handy if you want to constantly check and set flags instead of sending events. Especially if you don't want to leave the state while comparing.

Share New Actions / Get touched Object

Here's another action.

Gets the Object the finger is touching. Stores the gameobject and finger ID. Optionally sends touch event occurring with the touched gameobject.

Useful if you want to find what's your finger is touching and compare directly or use switches to go to states.

Share New Actions / Offset Float By Percentage

This would be my first PlayMaker custom action. Let me know if you like it.

It takes a float (input) and offsets its value within a random range of a percentage (input) of it's value.

May come useful if you want to add a little random variation to a float value.

Action Requests / Get Controller Hit Info from a different Gameobject

Can I get a variation of Get Controller Hit info. Currently it can get info from it's own character controller. I want to get info from a different gameobject with character controller.


General Discussion / Any interest in PlayMaker Kit Workshops?

As most of you have known, I've developed some PlayMaker Kits (7 in total, 4 of them immediately available, others will be available soon.) You can check the link HERE

I was toying with the idea of organizing online PlayMaker workshops for the owners of the kits. Non-owners can join in after buying the workshop kit as it will be needed there.

The goal of the workshop would be to enable the attendees to come in with their idea and get out with a working prototype/vertical slice of their game. There would be separate workshops for each kit. The workshops would essentially be a set of tutorials on how to use the kit to make your own unique game and a discussion thread for development and sharing builds and assets.

I'll leave this post here to gather feedback and the level of interest. Please vote and let me know your feedback.

Mobile FPS PlayMaker Kit. Really excited about this. Remembering the endless hours of Counterstrike between friends. We had a blast! For this Kit I'm getting some asset contribution from a fellow artist. He will post in this thread straight away!

This Kit will include Basic Mobile Controls alongside WebPlayer Controls. And AI Enemies (Aliens) and pathfinding based on Unity Navmesh!

Just started with it. Take a peek.

Started work on this month's #1GAM PlayMaker Kit. It'd be a PinBall System. Thanks to your suggestions.


Basic Setup done so far:
Press enter, hold and release to release the ball plunger.
Left shift and Right shift to operate the flippers.

More systems coming...
