We are developing an online shooting game and would like to ask you guys for an advice regarding AI system.
I found two popular AI systems for PM: EASY AI FOR PLAYMAKER and Advanced Battle AI?
Does anyone has experience on them? Which one is better for a FPS game?

Does any one use Third Person Controller by Opsive with Playmaker? Can I make a top down shooting game with 2 plugins without coding?
As I read the video and documents, they only provide few actions instead of a full playmaker demo/scene.

Playmaker Help / Cannot access global variables if use template.

Hi all. I found that I cannot access the global variables across the scenes if I use the FSM template for my objects. Is there any solution? I did the searches but cannot found.
I'm using Unity 5.5 with PM 1.8.3.

Playmaker Help / Switch gameplay phase

Hi guys. I'd like to make a phase switching like this game: https://youtu.be/LIH9Wy-dlQA?t=2m19s (2:19)
So when user takes one item, the game will switch to a new phase with new game play immediately. I guess I will need to create new assets in the scene and activate that object set when the item is activated. Then move the player and main camera to where I put those assets, is that correct way?
Sorry, I'm new with Unity and PM.

Playmaker Help / Trigger Enter/Exit is too heavy?

In my game there are some moments the FPS suddenly drop from 60 to 10. I used Profiler and it seems caused by Trigger Enter and Exit. Are they really heavy like this?

Playmaker Bug Reporting / Cannot Revert to prefab

Hi,

Sometimes I cannot revert my prefab instance using playmaker revert feature. Please check this video:

When this bug happens, I normally delete and recreate a state to solve this. But sometimes this trick doesn't work. The other solution is deleting that instance in Hierarchy and drop the prefab again.

Action Requests / Firebase actions for PlayMaker?

I'd like to ask whether you plan to add support for Firebase? It has Unity plugin already and we would love to see someone works on playmaker actions.

General Discussion / How long to port and online game to PlayMaker

I have an online game using scripting Unity3D. I'm quite curious how long it will take to port it to playmaker. Can anyone provide hints?

Playmaker Help / Proper way to detect melee attack from player

Hi,

I'd like to detect the melee attack from my player when the attack enemy. I found 2 solutions:
 - Add collider to the weapon (sword for example) and detect Trigger Event between the weapon and enemy. (I don't know how to add the collider to the weapon yet)
 - Add Animation event in the key frame that the attack was finished --> Send to Player Model FSM --> Continue to send to Enemy FSM

Which one is better? And is there any better solution?

Playmaker Help / How to set player jump to a target position?

Hi,

I'd like to set a Velocity to let the player jump toward target position (next to the enemy). Is it possible to do it in PlayMaker?

So far I have these variables: Player speed, target position.

Playmaker Help / Easy Touch 5: Map swipe controls to Get Key Down actions?

Hi,

I'm working on a project using PlayMaker. So far I use Get Key Down (Up, Down, Left, Right) for the game and then added a FSM to guess touch input using PM buit-in actions.
Now I'd like to replace this manual way with Easy Touch 5. So is there any quick way to map all "Get Key Down" actions with swipe controls like: Swipe Down = key Down, Swipe Up = key Up, Swipe Right = key Right, Swipe Left = key Left. So I don't have to modify many states to add the checker in PlayMaker FSMs as attached screenshot.

Playmaker Help / Get value of third sub-level from XML file by DataMaker

Hi,

I need to get the value from the attached XML file by DataMaker. Following the tutorial, I was able to get the first sub-level (Children of <Level> one). However, I got stuck at how to get the value of its children (Children of <RankSpeeds>).
Anyone can advise?

Hi,

My game designer sends me a request like this attachment. He wants to constantly change the speed of the character based only the distance he reaches. Ex: Increase constantly from 0 to 10 m/s in first 100 m. Then increase from 10 to 20 from 100-500m.
Since this is infinite running game, there will be no limitation for the distance.
Any one have the idea to achieve this?

Besides, there will be the Speed Up item. So how to apply it, for example if player takes it at 990 m?
