Playmaker Help / Question about Swipe Gesture Event

Hi,

I am using the Swipe Gesture Event in Playmaker on Unity 5.50f3 and I have a touch screen PC.

I was wondering if  Swipe Gesture Event can be tested on a PC because when I swipe on my touch screen PC it doesn't work.

So does  Swipe Gesture Event only work on an android or iOS device?

Hi Jean (or anyone else who can assist :) ),

I downloaded the Resources from ECOSYSTEM and was trying to use it. Before I get to the question let me explain what I am trying to do.

I have a button (UI element) and using Resources I would like to load a picture (a .png image) and then change the picture of my button using the image i just loaded using resources.

However when I load the png image using resources I do not know what to use as the TYPE field. I have attached picture of all the TYPEs available.  I did not see any  listed as IMAGE.  Any ideas what to choose for the TYPE?


I tried to attach the picture but for some reason the forum isn't allowing me to upload the picture. So I am typing out the TYPE options below -

-Float
-Int
-Bool
-Game Object
-String
-Vector 2 and 3
- Color
-Rect
- Material
- Texture
-Quanaternion
-Object
-Array-Enum

Playmaker Help / How to activate a Phone's camera

Hi,

I am making a game where I need to activate a phones camera. I would like to activate the camera and then overlay it with animation (sort of like the pokemon go game). Can anyone advise me on how to turn the phones actual camera on and off and use it during a game?

Hi,

Presently i know how to make standard database after watching the following tutorial:

however my question in regarding PNGs and Text.  I am making a game with a lot of PNGs (approx 100) and each PNG has a certain Text associated with it.  Can anyone guide me on how to make a database involving text and pictures?

I usually make quiz (trivia) games using Microsoft excel and then convert the questions and answers from excel to an XML file and import it to Unity. But I have no idea how to handle pngs (pictures).

Any ideas?

Hi,

After 1 year i have finally released my game made with Playmaker people !! :D.. I would first like to thank the community for all the support !!!  Without you guys this would not have been possible. Playmaker Help / What happens if a game is interrupted e.g. phone call ?

Hi,

I am building a game for the Google Play Store and I wondering what happens to a game if you are playing it and its get interrupted e.g. you get a phone call.

When using PlayMaker to build a game will it automatically pause the game in its current state and allow the person too take the call and then resume after?

Or does this require separate coding? Any advice on how to approach this?

I wasn't too sure what to search for on the net to get insight into this issue.

I havn't built the game as yet. So I didn't want to build the game and only then to realize I needed their permission to get the date and time.

Hi,

I am making a game and the game heavily depends on the "Get System Date Time" action in Playmaker.

I know  how to use it and stuff. However my question is, will it access the person's smartphone or tablet date and time automatically? Or will it only work if the user of the game permits me to do so on his device?

If the game is not allowed to access the device date and time the game will not work.   Can anyone tell me how access to a persons systems date and time access work?

Hi djaydino,

It still didn't work.. once I reload the scene the labels reappear.. I am using

1. UNITY 5.5.0f3 Personal (64 bit)
2. Playmaker 1.8.3.f4

Any other suggestions? Thanks BTW so far for the support and help :)

Hi DjayDino,

I tried that also.

1. As an experiment I unchecked all the settings in the Preferences settings (picture attached) and save.

2.  I reload the scene and then all the settings STAY UNCHECKED except for the STATE LABELS (picture attached).

Its like the only setting that never saves is the STATE LABEL one.  All the other settings keep the settings you set it as.

Its really weird.

Any ideas guys?

Problem with State Labels
Area: Editor
Frequency: Always

What happened -

 - Whenever I uncheck the "Show State Labels in Game View" from the Debug menu it removes the state labels. I save the scene and project. However if I load and next scene and then reload the same scene I was on previously the STATE LABELS reappear.   I am looking to publish the game but if I publish with the state labels showing the game will look unprofessional.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have multiple scenes in my game.

Hi,

I am trying to create a Slide Menu.. so when u swipe your finger on the screen it scrolls through the various options... The problem is I have no idea how to start..

I have already added the Canvas... To be honest am pretty good at Playmaker but I am just stuck on this one... an ideas or suggestions...
