Playmaker Help / Problems exporting game to android

I am trying to build android game (well export it android) and I am encountering some issues. I downloaded and installed the Android-SDK and Jave JDK and pointed the external tools to the correct locations- I have attached a picture

The only problem I am seeing is some warning popping up in the Revision Control Diff/Merge window above. I am using windows 10 and unity 5.50f3 and wondering if that is causing the errror and if so how do i go about (or which one to install from the list ? SourceGear, TkDiff etc) or IF playmaker based games usually has problems exporting to andriod when building...

When I build its compiling etc , but no APK file appears...

Any ideas?

Playmaker Help / Advice needed on animation

I have been using a lot of FBX animations in my 2D game and will for some reason the Animator gives a of trouble to flow from one state to the next (its works perfect with sprite based animations). So I decided to use a different method.. where I simply Activate and Deactivate FBX animations using the "Activate Game Object"  when I go from state to state. It works fine but I wanted to know if there is any disadvantage to using this method (I know its a bit caveman-ish)...

Also I wanted to know if an object is deactivated in a scene .. does it use any resources .. i.e. If i have to many deactivated game objects in a scene will it slow down my game.. or will it only begin to tax the CPU when it activated..?

Playmaker Help / Problem with UI Button and Animation / Animator

Good Day,
I have made a UI button and attached the anchors to one corner of the canvas so when I have a different size screen it will maintain its general position (This works fine). Attached is some pics of how it looks at 2 different screen resolutions (Picture_1)

However, I am trying to add animation to the buttons using the Animator. So this is what I did in the inspector. Please note the animation were done as sequential sprites.  This is how my INSPECTOR looked (Inspector Picture) I had to add Sprite Renderer to get the animation to show.  However this is what if looks like now when I used different screen sizes (Picture_2).

Why doesn’t the sprite stay inside the Button Area? Shouldn’t the animator be where the button is? Does anyone know to resolve this issue? Using or not using playmaker?

It seems once you add a sprite to any UI object it no longer obeys the anchors. Why is this ?


Playmaker Help / Need Help with Camera, Canvas & Background

I am trying to get my background the scale to find the different pixel resolutions out there.  I have an idea, but I am not to sure how to implement it. This is my idea using playmaker to solve the scaling issue -

1. Using playmaker use "Get Screen Width" and "Get Screen Height"
2. Set the camera to the Width and Height in 1.
3. Set the background pic to the Width and Height in 1.

I cannot figure out how to do (2) and (3) as I see nothing in the Action Browser. Any ideas.

Also can some one tell me why on UI elements can be attached to the canvas. Won't life in unity be 10000000000 times simpler if anything (images, animations, sprites) could all be attached to the canvas via anchors?  Then eventhing could move synchronous  when scaling occurs.

Is there anthing in ECO SYSTEM that can solve this issue?

Playmaker Help / Play Sound Issue

I imported a MP3 in Unity and used playmaker's Play Sound action. When I play the Mp3 outside uniity it sounds loud enough... but inside unity it barely hearable (I don't even know if thats a word :D ).... the VOLUME level is already on 1.. even if i chnage the volume level to like 20 it still the same...

ANy ideas?

does anyone know how to spawn an object randomly around a certain area.

I have an object and I want it to spawn out of thin air (like 3 or 4 at a time) are a certain area.  I didn't see any on Ecosystem... or maybe I missed it..

Playmaker Help / How to apply a random jiggle to a button

I have a button in a MC quiz game and I want to use playmaker to make the button just jiggle a little to hint to use the press it. Anyone knows how to do this without making a jiggling animation.

I was thinking about applying a random force to it using rigid body.. but am not sure...

Also on another note... when a button is pressed anyone knows how to make particles flare out of it (to make it look cool) using the Particles feature?

Playmaker Help / Monetizing with Playmaker question

So I am trying to find out how to Monetize with Playmaker.  I am thinking of going with LeadBolt or Chartboost.  How do I go about using playmaker to do this?

1. Do I need to get a LeadBolt or Chartboot Account first? 
2. Are there any videos showing how to integrate your app with these or any other companies.
3. Anything on ECOSYSTEM that can help with this?
4. Anything in the Unity assets store that can help with this?

I looked online but could not find any helpful tutorials.

Playmaker Help / How to create a rubbing action

I was wondering if anyone know how to create a rubbing action. I have a game where I have a magic lamp and I need to rub it a few times and when the player rubs it back and forth enough it sends an event?

I see playmaker has a swipe action.. but thats just for a one swipe in one direction. I need a back and forth rubbing action.. any ideas ?



Before I say any more I want to state I know the difference between an Animation and Controller. The animation is the animation itself and the controller coordinates the animation (I hope I have that right).

Anyway I have a few questions. I basically created a canvas and attached a panel to the canvas and then a 2D sprite to the Panel.  I has created an animation before and wanted an animation to play as the sprite. What I noticed was the following -

1. If I added a component  to the Sprite called Animation and chose the animation the Animation would NOT play.

2. If I added a component to the Sprite called the Animator and chose the controller the animation plays. I attached a pic.

Why should this make a difference? In both instances I just want the animation to play.  I also noticed that if you add an animator controller to a UI image it doesn't play the animation.. why?

Also I am interested in using the playmaker animation actions. I have attached a picture of it to the message. Any tutorials out there that can show me how to use them?  DO these actions work with the Animation itself OR the controller?

Any advice or link to online tutorials for this issue..

Does any know how to create button so when you click it it will load a link on the Android phone's default browser. 

e.g.  In my game I have a button, when it is clicked I need it to go the webpage "" but using the phone's default browser. Thats not the actual link I just like the song in link :D


Playmaker Help / Having problem with a Button Broadcasting an Event

I am having a problem a simple  one I believe which I cannot figure out. Here what I am trying to do (I also attached a picture)-

1. I created a button using Create --> UI --> Button
2.  I then added the component "Play Maker U GUI Component Proxy (Script)"

When  I click the button I want it to go to a GLOBAL EVENT in Main_Menu_Logic. Thats all I wanted it to do.  I filled out the fields perfectly, doubled checked all my spelling. When I click the button nothing happens.. it does not go to "JUMP_TO_HERE".

what am I doing wrong.. I know I looked at a video doing this and it worked once already.. but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong this time.

Playmaker Help / Question about Touch Event

I am using the Touch Event to make a simple 2D game in Playmaker.  The game for Andriod. I know on a phone it applies to when you touch a button with your finger.. but I am creating the game on a PC... How do I test this on a PC..? I have a touch screen PC but when I touch the screen on my PC nothing happens.. can the Touch  Event only be tested on a phone?

Playmaker Help / Need advice in what order to make an andriod game

I am making a game using playmaker. I am currently doing the core of the game (because I am very new to game making). I am having trouble understanding the following -

1. Integrating the game with FB, Twitter, Isntagram and other soical media
2. Integrating games with ads (mometizing).

However I am getting through with the game functionality. So my question is -

Is it normal or a good idea to do my core game design first and after I have the game working then I try to figure out items 1 and 2 above.  I am wondering if I leave items 1 and 2 for last I will have to change my who game design to accommodate items 1 and 2.  Or is it normal to leave those two items for last?

I hope I asked that clearly... if anyone needs me to clarify this let me know...

Playmaker Help / Playmaker Tab missing [SOLVED]

I recently closed a project and reopened it a couple of days later and the PLAYMAKER tab from the Menu Bar is missing. I have attached a picture of my screen. The Playmaker is in the Project tab but in the menu bar it is gone and also my Playmaker editor window is gone. I have tried importing back Playmaker. Any suggestions?
