Playmaker Help / How to disable a UI Button [SOLVED]

I have a simple question (I looked online first but didn't see the answer to what seemed like a simple question btw). 

I created a simple UI button and wanted it disabled on start up. The UI button has 4 colour modes -

1. Normal colour
2. Highlighted Colour
3. Pressed Colour
4. Disabled colour

(I have attached a pic).

On start up I just want to disable the button so I could see how the Disabled Colour looked. I used the DISABLE GUI action in playamaker and unchecked the box. But this does not work.

What am I doing wrong.. it seemed straight forward. 

Any suggestion mates / maties ?

Playmaker Help / Question about Easy Save and Easy Save 2

I am newish to Playmaker and came across something called Easy Save and Easy Save 2.  I am a bit confused about the two. Firstly I saw Easy Save 2 on Ecosystem so I downloaded it. It downloaded and imported but the actions did not show up in the Action List.  So I just want to know if I have this right -

1. I need to buy Easy Save from the Assets store first  for 29.99 and THEN I can download Easy Save 2?

2. Whats the difference between Easy Save and Easy Save 2?

Can someone please clear this up?

I recently came across something called Ecosystem for playmaker where I realised that there are a lot of goodies.. Can I used these things in my project for free? Even for commercial purposes?

Playmaker Help / How do I save game progress in Playmaker?[SOLVED]

I am trying to research how to save a players progress using playmaker. I am making a quiz / trivia game so I'll need to save the players scores at least so when he/she comes back the next day they can continue from here they left off. Any ideas on what I should start researching?  Like what is my starting point.... please advise :)

Playmaker Help / xPath Query questions when using Datamaker Xml

I am presently using Datamaker XML in Playmaker and having some problems specifying my xPath Query.. if my data looks like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<data-set xmlns:xsi="">
       <Quarter>Qtr 3</Quarter>
       <Quarter>Qtr 4</Quarter>

I have attached a picture of the xQuery Panel. What do I need to type in xPath Query? I tried   " /data-set/record "  but it doesn't work. 

Any ideas or advice?

Playmaker Help / How to make your game fit all resolutions?

I am newish to playmaker and I was wondering how to go about making my game fit all mobile screen sizes.  Are there any playmaker tutorials out there that can explain this. Or can this be done easily without playmaker?  Is there any existing scripts I can just attach to my game that will automatically size it to different screen resolutions? Any advice on where or what I should be looking for?

Playmaker Help / Playmaker and Gravity problems

I made a simple 2d sprite animation and applied a RigidBody 2D to it in the Inspector. I rigid body left the Gravity as 1 (I am assuming 1 represents the 9.81 m/s2). Also I saw someone leave it as 1 in an online tutorial and it worked fine for them. The video was on this link:

Anyway I attached playmaker script just to make him walk horizontally (I did not thing with vertical movements or gravity).

1. When the value is 1 my character falls very very slowly to the ground very very slowly.

2. WHen I disable the playmaker script my character falls normally as it should.

Have any of you all ever experienced this?

I have attached picture what my playmaker panel looks like. It just baffels me. Any suggestions mates?

Playmaker Help / How to resize animations?

I am not to sure if this is a Playmaker or UNITY question, but here goes.  I made an animation using sprites of my character walking. However I think my walking character is too small and I want to make the whole animation larger. I do not want to go back and make a sprite sheet with the images larger. Is there an option to scale the animation? I looked in the inspector while clicking on the animation file but there are not options. I also clicked on the animation when it was in the animator window and I still saw no options.

Any ideas?


Playmaker Help / Question about Polygon Collider 2D using Playmaker

Hi goodday,

I have made a character in a small platform game. I have placed a Polygon Collider 2D around by main character which is in my Sprite Renderer.  But as some of you all may know when you press the up arrow (or some command)  the character animation may change e.g. the character may put his hands in the air while jumping (hence the character area and shape will change). 

What I want to know will the Polygon Collider 2D automatically change to suit the new animation and if not how do I get it to adjust to the new animations?

Hi goodday,

I am building a kinda falppy bird game and I am using Playmaker + Unity. I am currently getting the hang of the Get Button Down in the Action Browser. However, if I am playing on a phone I would need to tap the screen.. how do I get a Tap function for a phone.. where should I be looking in the action browser?

ANy advice mates?

Playmaker Help / Problems with the animator controller and playmaker

I am creating a simple 2D game and well let me describe my issue and what I have done so far (please note I have watched countless tutorials before i came to this fourm)

1. I am creating a simple 2D game using unity 5.50f3 2d sprites and am still in the prototye stage. I have created two animations for my character , Idle and Jump and well I have an animator controller looking like:

Entry --> Idle <----->  Walk

2. So went to playmaker window and added two FSM states with the events called IDLE and WALK.

3.  What I am confused is when I am in the IDLE state i want it to play my idle animation and when I am in my walk State I want to to play the WALK animation. So to each state I added "Play Animation" via the ACTION BROWSER and added the animation to the relative state.

4. When I press play it plays BOTH animations no matter what state I am in :s.

I cannot figure out what I did wrong. What concept am I missing here?
Is something wrong with my Animation Controller configuration?

I am willing to explain more..
