Hey guys! Just wanted to share my first game release. It's available for FREE on both the iTunes and Google Play app stores.

Just search for "Floppy Tiles" on iPhone or iPad
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/floppy-tiles/id896400399?ls=1&mt=8

Or search for "FloppyTiles" (NO SPACE) on Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.threedsauce.pianobird

This game was created using one of my own easy to use game creation templates for Unity3D and Playmaker, check out http://3dsauce.com/ for more info.

Any ratings or reviews would be much appreciated. I hope to see you on the leader board!

Action Requests / Play Random Sound
« on: July 09, 2014, 10:27:39 AM »
Can someone please alter the "Play Random Sound" action to allow drop down selection of an audio clip variable, same functionality as the "Play Sound" action?

Thanks soooo much for the help.

Action Requests / Custom Vibration Length
« on: May 30, 2014, 07:02:47 AM »
I am aware that Playmaker comes with a DeviceVibrate action, however it vibes for 0.5 seconds. Is it possible to control the length of vibration inside the action?

General Discussion / Playmaker Download Link
« on: May 27, 2014, 07:18:12 PM »
When I click the playmaker secure download link in my email, the link no longer seems to be valid. It just shows: "Playmaker1.7.7.1.unitypackage (Not Available)"

Is the link down or does my account need fresh links? How can I get the latest version?

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks!

Action Requests / NGUI Automated Button Press
« on: May 15, 2014, 01:40:39 PM »
I am in need of an action that would basically simulate an NGUI button being pressed without any user input.

Does anyone know a simple way of doing this otherwise?

Action Requests / iTween PutOnPath and PointOnPath
« on: April 26, 2014, 02:03:15 PM »
On the iTween examples page http://itween.pixelplacement.com/examples.php they have one called "Using PutOnPath and PointOnPath"

Is that example possible with the current set of iTween actions? Do any of them give access to percentage of a path?

Action Requests / Swipe Gesture Event Variant
« on: April 23, 2014, 05:24:42 PM »
Is there an action similar to "Swipe Gesture Event," but instead of only registering a swipe direction once your finger is lifted, it registers it as soon as the finger has traveled a certain distance?

For example in subway surfer, you do not have to lift your swipe finger for the direction event to register.

Playmaker Bug Reporting / Ease Float Speed Value
« on: April 22, 2014, 07:15:24 AM »
The "Ease Float" action seems to be broken, or am I just not using it properly? I want to use the Speed value instead of the Time value, but when I disable time it throws up an error saying the time value is required. Speed does not seem to do anything in any case.

Work In Progress... / Asset Submission Frustration
« on: April 11, 2014, 01:03:30 PM »
Hey guys, I just need to vent a little. I decided to do a quick little remake of flappy bird myself last month and it ended up becoming a nicely polished product. So, I decided to put it on the asset store as I believe there are many valuable concepts to learn from a fully fleshed out flappy bird project for people who are new to Unity and Playmaker.

I was wary from the start, seeing how just as many people seem to despise flappy bird for it's simplicity as there are people who love it. So long story short; it has been rejected more times now than I care to count, every time for the same cut and paste reason in my email response. Talking about copyright concerns when modifying existing themes and artistic styles. I went ahead and completely re-skinned and renamed the project through numerous revisions, until the only resemblance it had left with the original game was the gameplay mechanic itself, which I don't believe anyone can hold a copyright on.

There are countless other asset store products that are more directly copying concepts than this kit such as the breakout kit, which even the name itself I believe is copyrighted by Atari. Our own Flying Robot even has his cool SlingShot kit up on the store, which is obviously an angry bird mechanic. I wish I knew where the line is drawn, are people just biased about anything "Flappy?"

Anyways, even though the flappy fad has passed it's prime, I'm likely going to sell it on my own website and include both skins. Making the kit was a fun learning exercise and I regret nothing.

Thanks for reading, and let me know what you think! Also let me know your score! :P

P.S. Demo "C" with the ugly generic font style and boring names is the last one I submitted.

General Discussion / Hearthstone made with Unity AND Playmaker!?
« on: March 03, 2014, 10:12:48 AM »
I don't know if anyone here is a Hearthstone fan, but I was doing a little snooping around the installation directory and found some interesting files.

In the Hearthstone/Data/Win folder you can clearly see that the game was made using Unity, this in itself made me smile. But upon further inspection, if you head to the Hearthstone/Hearthstone_Data/Managed folder you will find something even more interesting... PlayMaker.dll!!!

It's not really clear what this means, or how and what exactly they are using Playmaker for. But it's very exciting to see that a huge player such as Blizzard has realized the enormous potential of these tools, and is using them in a AAA production.

Playmaker Help / Smooth Look At [SOLVED]
« on: January 19, 2014, 06:55:28 PM »
Would it be possible to apply the "constraint locally" modification Jean did to the "Look At" action in this thread: http://hutonggames.com/playmakerforum/index.php?topic=4908.0 But add it to the "Smooth Look At Direction" action instead?

Thanks!
