Hey Steve,

Hopefully I can provide some additional info!

These warnings will not affect your build process unless you use them. They are warning you that there is no longer the option to use fixed Angle on rigid bodies in Unity in Unity 5. It has since been replaced by a feature called 'Constraints'

Here is a link to some Unity Answers on this:

When I work with the Playmaker 2D Package I simply delete these scripts as it affects settings that Unity no longer uses.

If you wish to use constraints on a rigidbody, I'd suggest the 'set property' action.

Hey friends!

Wanted to share the latest app I made.

Its a simple dinner app. You choose a city. Select two contenders. They duke it out and the winner is your dinner.

This app makes use of the Yelp API database and I relied heavily on Playmaker for the a good chunk of the the interaction. But! Something I feel really good about, because I dived into making my own Playmaker actions, a positive side effect is that I began to learn C#. So I'm happy to report that in some instances I wrote my own scripts! Albeit simple in nature, they made me feel good about this journey. And I made this app in less than 4 weeks.

I've just sent it to the Asset Store. Should be live in a couple of days.

Hi there! I'm pulling some info from the web and passing the info to an ArrayMaker array. Works lovely.

However, sometimes the content shows up with some empty data. Any idea about how I could remove those empty entries?

I'm curious, could you elaborate on the ExtractFromJson action? I'm attempting to pass the yelp api into unity. I've gotten this far with your action:

But I need to drill down into the businesses list to find the names property.

Any thoughts?

Doesn't need to be a separate scene. In the first scene you would create a Canvas that is on the top sorting layer. Make a panel that covers up everything beneath it, and put the word loading on it. Enable it when you want to tell the viewer things are loading, and disable it as soon as its done loading.

I'm a whole-fully terrible coder. I managed to translate some other peoples scripts into playmaker actions in about a day. I started by opening up the other playmaker actions that did similar things to what I wanted and just read them. I started to piece together what words and nuances I needed to know.

To start, I made a duplicate of the playmaker script, stripped it of its guts, and filled it in with the other script. Worked pretty well for me.

I find Playmaker easy to follow. Some coders have said that it's a waste of time. I say you should give it a shot.

What you are looking for are these actions:

Animations made in unity use Unity's Mechanim system. Play Animation is apart of the legacy animations.

Click on your treasure chest object in the probject panel. Then in the inspection channel, make sure your animation is set to legacy.
