1. I think animation is a lot less expensive than animating with code in most cases.

2. I'm not sure about the 2d toolkit, if you can afford it buy it and learn from it.

3. Mecanim and Playmaker work together.

Maybe the video predated Mecanim's 2d support.

Sweet!

That is really impressive! Let me know if you have any issues.

I'm glad I could help.  :)

Playmaker Help / Re: Magic Carpet controls.

I have not tried the Kit in a long time, does it not work now?

Flight controls are definitely possible.

What type of controls will you need?

Maybe we could play around with some different setups.

Have you checked out Lane's "Oomph: Free Space Combat & Customization Kit"?

Thanks

No problem,

You can put them anywhere in your assets folder.

"Assets/Playmaker My Custom Actions" will work fine

Cheers

Action Requests / Re: Lock Cursor to Middle of Screen or Just Center It?
« on: August 23, 2016, 08:12:06 PM »
Hello,

You can use the Set Mouse Cursor Action with the Lock option, but you need the Playmaker GUI prefab in the scene.

You can change the Playmaker Preferences to auto add the Playmaker GUI prefab.

The Control Mouse option should be enabled by default.

Thanks

That is Awesome!

You are welcome. Let me know if these help out.

Hi,

I found a start here.

http://hutonggames.com/playmakerforum/index.php?topic=5810.msg28257#msg28257

We might need a few different actions.

Configurable Joint Limit Spring
Configurable Joint Limit
Configurable Drive

What exactly do you need?

Thanks.

Playmaker Help / Re: Finding GameObject and waiting for invisible
« on: August 20, 2016, 07:17:36 PM »
But if I did put that GameObject in a global variable, how would my other FSM wait for that global variable to contain the GameObject?

Can't we call a non-static method and store its returned value somehow? And then only move to the next state once that has finished? That way I can get the GameObject that I need.

The Game Object Is Null Action might do it.

I' m sorry if I do not understand. I have ready the post many times  :(

When you create this "object that cannot have a Fsm" at load can you add it to a global variable?

You can use Global Variables.
https://hutonggames.fogbugz.com/default.asp?W641

or,

The No Exit Sample Has a Example on using Global Events.

Also, the Get Event Info Actions is very helpful.

Hi,

The mesh needs Vertex Colors to work,  I think the red channel gets masked.

Here is a Free Vertex Painter.

General Discussion / Skinning/Rigging [Asset]
« on: August 19, 2016, 07:15:41 PM »
Hello,

I have a set of Editor tools for skinning meshes that I am working on.

How much interest is there in a low-cost skinning/rigging solution for Unity?

I still have a lot work to do, but things are moving along really fast.

current features: Skin Wrap, Weight Painting.

Thanks  :)

Hello,

Looking at the Standard Shader I think the _EmissionMap uses  the _MainTex's UV's.
