Do they work well with buttons? from the name I thought they were focused on touch-based interfaces.

Following your link gives me the below message:

I currently use in my controller FSMs that diferetiate between "Tap", "Hold", "double tap", and "Tap and hold", and then have a global variable that sets the time threshold for Hold, and the interval between single tap and double tap.

I would like to see an action that "listens" for an axis direction(positive or negative), and allows to set the Treshold and interval variables for those tipe of inputs, and to select an event for each case.

So it would take as input:

Axis
Positive or Negative
Hold time(Used for "Hold" and the hold part of "Tap and Hold")
Double Press time(Used for "double tap" and for "tap and Hold")

Event if "Tap"
Event if "Hold"
Event if "Double Tap"
Event if "Tap and Hold"

I think it could be a usefull action for making input systems. It would certianly simplify some of  my FSMs

Thank you very much, could you also do one showing how to add sprites to a texture, material? If it is not too much to ask?

If I have the textures with the full faces, I can swap them, no problem, but I have no idea on how to do it so individual eyes, nose and mouth can be selected.(adding simple shapes, or random sprites just to show me how it work would be perfect, doesn´t need to be pretty)

The menu GUI with the options is something I can do. It doesn´t actually preview the options but simple forward and backward buttons for each category that change an integer is something I can do no problem.

Content, is also ok, Simple head shapes with flat colors and face features sprites with transparency. I have someone who can do the hairs.

For handling Data I intend to have all the selected options saved into an .xml file, since I work well with them, and they are very well integrated in my workflow.

But I have no idea what is the best way to actually implement this. I Have no idea what would be a good way of managing the textures, Should I use a texture atlas? etc...
The closest thing I did to this was a very simple texture swap, I am quite lost on where to start,a nd how to do it.

As for the tutorial not being pretty, due to just using simple shapes, that doesn´t bother me at all, as long as I can understand the algorithms well enough to implement them myself with my own assets.

Other then the assets and the menu, I don´t know where to start.

Is there a way to manually reset the node list?

Playmaker Help / Problem with Data Maker and Dropdown UI Component
« on: September 25, 2017, 09:50:37 AM »
Hello, I am trying to create a system for a user to choose a category , and then an option in that category.

There is a FSM that looks into a .xml file for the categories and adds them as option to a dropdown UI component. Once the Category is selected, an FSM looks into the children nodes to fill the options of a second drop down.

If the category is changed, the FSM clear the second dropdown, but fills it again with the same options as the first category. If I don´t clear teh secodn dropdown component, it adds the correct option to the new category, so I know the xpath query is working right.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Thank you for your time
