Playmaker Help / Draw Line, Snap to Grid

Hello,

Is there a way to draw a line, snap to grid to activate corresponding tiles? I just need tip of the iceberg so i can do it, it is the only thing stopping me from proceeding my project :) Picture attached for reference, thank you

Playmaker Help / Activate Neighbouring Tiles

Hello,

I have a 4*4 Grid, Its a Board game, you have to touch and swipe so you can get the right arrangement of letters, Something like the game Ruzzle.

Im using "On Point Enter" as a Component on each of the tiles, to get the touch detection going, then I send event using Playmaker to get the results.

I need to only allow the player to touch the neighboring tiles when swipes next, so basically if he swipes out of the grid and skips a stile, it does not respond, Please help me with this and if you need a live example try the game "Ruzzle" on Android.

Attached a sketch picture to clarify.

Green is the touched Tile, Yellow is Tiles you can swipe to next, upon moving it only activate what is directly neighboring the Tile.

Hello,

I am working on a Word Matching game, Everything is going well based on the Example provided with Arraymaker Samples.

I want to Generate Random (non-duplicate) letters on 16 tiles, which is alright, but I need to find out all the possible word solutions from the wordlist.txt file I have based on the generated letters, I just do not know where to start on this, any guidance would be great.

Playmaker Help / Endless Terrain

Hello,

I am working on a pixel art Game, The Ground is basically 8 tiles that never end moving towards the left of the screen, right now im using a tween action where upon reaching a block outside of the left of screen, to set position to a block on the right side of the screen and continue moving left, I am sure there's a common more practical way of doing this, but i cannot find a guide.

If you want an example, the game "Buff Knight" on android, something like the ground in that game.

My latest project, fully developed using the amazing Playmaker.

From quiet Grasslands world to the Desert - Detonate your way through multiple levels of awesome; all in that good old Arcade style.

Playmaker Help / Save Playmaker FSM into XML

Hello,

I recently added XML level loading into my project from this tutorial [http://www.teambrookvale.com/tutorial-xml-level-unity/] and it is running pretty well.

However, In my Breakout project, which consists of many levels, some prefabs have a slight change to the FSM, most behaviour is the same but I changed a bit of the "instance" fsm and not the prefab.

I need to save the playmaker FSM into the XML file, through  adding the FSM component to the deserializedlevelsaver class shown in the tutorial so it can be loaded to the prefab. [See attached Image]

I am weak in scripting so I cannot figure this out after trying, even though I know its easy, Any help would be much appreciated, thank you

Playmaker Help / Pause app in Background

Hello,

So I am still on my breakout style game (Android), when I get a phonecall or press the home button game pauses in background which is what I want, but as soon as I get back to the game the ball immediately starts moving which might cause the player to lose, how can I set timescale to zero upon returning to app? as if it was paused, so the player will touch the "return" button when ready.

Hello,

I am using the playmaker actions for dreamlo and its working well, there are 3 actions, Add Score, Add Score with Time, Add Score with time and comment, except that I "Add Score", then when I "Get Scores" I get them with date and time, I just want a username and a score, Im sure its possible, any tips please?

Hello,

On a smartphone, when a player pauses the game, obviously a menu appears, how can I add a blackish tint on all layers behind the menu? Like a 50% fade effect sort to speak.

P.S: Im using 2D Toolkit UI

Hello,

Brick Breaker game project in the process, I have a Thru Ball that goes through bricks and destroys them.

Explanation:

Normal Ball  - On Collision Enter (Works Well)
Through Ball - On Trigger Enter (Works Well by sending an event to Trigger Enable the Bricks as soon as I take the "Thru Ball" Power Up)

Problem:

I am trying to implement a "Multiple Ball" Power Up, but the problem is if one of the 3 balls is a through ball, it sends the Trigger Enable event to all Bricks so now the normal ball also becomes a thru ball.

Basically, is there any "other" technique to let the ball go through the bricks? Basically like a piercing bullet.

Playmaker Help / Arraymaker / Random position exclusion [SOLVED]

Hello,

I need to place different blocks in 9 different random positions, using arraymaker, it is working except one issue i cannot resolve, sometimes the blocks are spawned on the same position and i would end up with a few of them overlapping, I cannot use the "Add 1" to int technique because it needs to be random. I basically need to exclude the Index int from being picked more than once during this spawn set.

Any advice on how to get this working would be much appreciated, thank you

Hello,

Working on a Brick Breaker (Breakout) style game, I need to create a random amount of bricks between 5-10, every 12 seconds, which is fine, but how can I choose between ten positions randomly without choosing any more than once so I can avoid an overlap?

 I understand that using "Arraymaker" would get this task done as I have researched, but I am totally not able to start with it or know what to do, any guidance just to where to start from would be appreciated, a tutorial or a hint, I am doing well on Playmaker and got my game almost ready for the static levels. I need this random Action for the Endless type level.
