Playmaker Tutorials / User Tutorials Wiki Page Update

From now on i will be updating the new User Tutorials Wiki

If You Have a new tutorial or a tutorial that is not yet on the Wiki You can post it here and i will add them to the User Tutorials Wiki

Also if possible can you Mention the Category, if there is a sample, the difficulty and a short description.

If a tutorial is already placed on the User Tutorials Wiki but something needs be changed you can also post it here.

If you have some ideas to change on the Wiki, feel free to share here.

Please do NOT request tutorials here.

I have updated the User Tutorial wiki and i will update it when new tutorials need to be added.

Also if you find playmaker tutorials on youtube that are not on the forum let me know

Share New Actions / Get Random Array Index

The Official Action "Get Random Array" does not have an index on it so i made a custom action with an index on it named "Get Random Array Index" and is now on the Ecosystem

You can use it to delete the object or use the index number on other arrays.

Playmaker Tutorials / Update User Tutorials Wiki

I will soon start with updating the User Tutorial wiki and i thought that before i start,
 i would ask you guys for any ideas on how to set it up.

Things i have planned are :

- Make a topic where you can post links to tutorials that are not yet in the wiki
- To sort tutorials by category
- Section for Tutorials in different languages
- Have a link to the topic (if there is), to the sample file (if there is) and directly to the video.
- Have Links to playmaker tutorial sites
- Use multiple pages instead of everything on one page
- a page for outdated (Older version below 1.7.x) tutorials

For the layout i am thinking to use a grid base layout list that includes :
Tutorial name / topic link / sample link / video link / author

If you have any suggestion or ideas please let me know.

Playmaker Bug Reporting / Global Events Not counted as used

When i Cleaned up my Project i was removing the events that i was not using anymore but then i noticed (after breaking my game) that the global event that i 'used' in the fsm has a used count of 0.
I had a backup of my game of course but i do think that these events should be counted as used for easier project cleanup :)

The Get Child Action Does not work as expected :

i have child objects with the same name but different tags used for something else so i tried to get them by setting "With Tag" to none but that did not work.

I and some other peeps need to use double's for their project but there are no actions for doubles and i can't make then because FSMdouble is not supported yet,
i hope i can do soon :)

There are several cases that i (and other) actually need to use doubles, but it is not supported yet on pm.

For example when using coordinates or on a clicker game.

The Ecosystem has almost become a must have add on for custom action and packages, so i think it is getting time to integrate this into playmaker.

Maybe with a separate updater if needed, so it can update even when PM has no update yet.

And could be used for action packages that are not always used (for example networking / 2D and things that trigger permissions for mobile)

It seems that set property is working as "get property"

Instead of that i can give a value i can only store a value.

I have tested this and confirmed that there is a problem with it

it seems to set the default Value from the variable.

to test this : set a value in to a Variable, then use an add value or a set value and change the value and then use "Set Fsm Array Item"

BUT, it does work when every frame is checked !

Playmaker Bug Reporting / Global Variables import

I exported my globals and then i tested on another project to import then.

when i export it makes this : PlayMakerGlobals.unitypackage

Then when i use that with import globals it says "no globals to import"
and places the PlaymakerGlobals_EXPORTED.asset in the root of the project

Then when i go to import again and go to the folder with PlaymakerGlobals_EXPORTED in it i can not see it by default.
i have to change the extension to all files (*.*)
then i can select it and when i import it,
then it works after reloading the scene

I don't think that this the way it is supposed to be :D

User Showcase / Tetris for tutorial

i made a Tetris game for playmaker tutorial purpose and i placed it on my website for testing.
Try it out and if you find some bugs please let me know.

I will release a documented package on my website in a couple of days when i think most bugs are gone.

And i will make a video tutorial about it :)

Playmaker Bug Reporting / Global events export

I make tutorials and sample files, but when i export globals are not exported unless i use Export globals or add the PlaymakersGlobals.asset file (which will overwrite the original file)

I would be great if it would be possible if global variables are missing to have the option to add them the same way like you have when an event is missing on an action :
