Exorcising my fears making a game
« on: February 28, 2017, 04:46:39 AM »
Here's an odd one, one of my biggest fears is dementia (or maybe I'm using the word too loosely, I'm actually afraid of forgetting words completely) so everytime I'm talking to someone and I can't remember a particular word or name I panic a bit while my mind scrambles to remember the right word.

So I'm prototyping a game about it, attached is the first draft, not a single line of code, all made in Playmaker and it only works on html thanks to the linker wizard!

The concept is that of a man telling his story, then when he forgets a word, a minigame plays where the player is in a dungeon-crawler style game and needs to find the right word. Not implemented yet: touching the wrong word or passing too much time and the player image will fade out until game over.

What do you guys think of the concept?
Ignore the graphics, I need to keep them simple as I can't draw for the life of me and I need to create a CRT scan type shader on the camera (Not sure I can do this in playmaker).
