Tips for Cut Scene Audio?

In a cut scene I am building I am cutting between a few cameras, In order to build the audio (music SoundFX) for the scene I need to attach the audio to an object. The obvious thing is the camera, as its got the listener on it.
However as Im cutting between various cameras, when one is destroyed, the audio attached to it disappears too.

Before I have been making NON 3d audio (for music etc) but selecting it in the inspector, should I just have an empty game object for audio, instead of the camera?
Basically I want NON location audio... like normal stereo audio...
