Hello Everybody/Free Blender Setup
« on: August 20, 2013, 07:14:49 PM »
Hi, my name is Joe.  I have been using Playmaker for about 3 months.  What an amazing purchase.  Before that my first experience with visual scripting was Blender Logic bricks and then UDK Kismet.  By far I think Playmaker has almost nailed it on leveraging power with simplicity.  I know nothing is perfect and sometimes the only way to get something done is the tried and true methods but damn if this product doesn't make this artist feel unstoppable.
But I also want to share my blender set up for Unity.  I have set up a .Blend file to be dropped into Unity.  The object of this setup is to offer Unity another free option to BSP style level editing.
Things to remember:
1. Duplicate the Unity object (Shift D) instead of editing it directly , and then hide
it by pressing (H) or clicking the eye in the scene browser.
2. The ground texture is the size of the Unity Perspective Grid. 10x10 Units.
The object texture is a single unit.
3. It will snap to half unit increments. This can be changed by on the grid scale.
4. Save this file into your Unity assets to have on the fly editing abilities, and
make sure to delete anything you might not want.  The ground plane or
    original Unity object.

have fun and let me know what you think.
