How to work with Gui easily
« on: August 28, 2014, 10:10:08 AM »
Hi,

I would like to know how to show in game view, ALL the gui active in my Game view when not running the editor.

Because actually, it only shown the gui included in the state i am working on, but not the other. This is really a pain to adjust the whole game gui.

Any tips ?

Your question isn't very clear.

Maybe post some screenshots so people can understand the problem better?

Hello,
Good question, IF there are any tips, would like to know too :)

When working with GUI Layout actions you have to be in that state to see its actual appearance in Game View (not running). For better understand whats going on, GUI are split in different States, so I cant see for example Top and Down GUI's built in separate states. Only one on clicked State.

If built in one state thare are a lots of content to scroll.

Thanks

That is exactly what i mean ;)
Because sometimes you have no other choice than split GUI in different state or even different FSM.

You currently can't view all of the gui at the same time if its in separate states. I usually just keep a mental note of where everything is at and Play to view it frequently.

The new uGUI system is in world space, so you'll have much better visual feedback if you start using it.
