Variables Category
« on: May 12, 2022, 04:31:55 AM »
I started to use categories on variables to make the things easier :)
But I must state that it's not easy to own the overview,
the categories are not such easy to see / find inside the growing variable lists.
Yes, Headlines are a little bigger but that doesn't help (me) a lot.
Did I possibly miss the point that I could colorize each Category?
IMO this could help for an easier overview.

Hi.
Are you using / to group them?

for example :
Player/Pos/x
Player/pos/y
Player/health/current health
Player/health/max health

You  can use / for events as well

Yes, sure.
Lets i.e say I create variables like this here:

Birth/Bird/counter
Birth/Cat/counter
Birth/Dog/counter
and
Food/Bird/bird_food_counter
Food/Cat/cat_food_counter
Food/Dog/dog_food_counter
and possible much more groups too.

Now I would like i.e. to colorize each group Birth and group Food in a different color
to see (seperate) groups easier, have a better overview, find things faster.
It is all 'grey in grey' in the moment which is imo a problem.
This belongs to variables, and events too, I mean the 'Tabs' where I create them first.
I hope it is better understandable now.
If this isn't possible in the moment, I mean colorize this, could it be an idea to add?
I can't believe that I'm the only one who would like this feature to have?

Hi.

So far i haven't had issues yet finding them, but when i started using PM i had a lot more variables.
Now i use arrays / array lists (Array Maker) / hash tables  (Array Maker) which has reduced my variables a lot compared to when i started using PM.

At the moment this is not possible, but you can ask a Feature Request
