Title: Playmaker and Unity
Post by: EvilWeevil on May 10, 2018, 07:41:20 AM
Hi,
I am considering getting Playmaker for use in Unity, to help me as a solo dev starting out. I am used to Unity now, and have been coding in C#, but find I have to do quite a lot of troubleshooting to achieve what I want. Would Playmaker help me with this? Is it easy to use, and to what extent can I use it? Can it be used along side Unity to create whole games from scratch? For Android/Windows/Xbox etc.? Any advice and information would be gratefully appreciated :)

Sure, you can make a game in Playmaker only from scratch, and since you're proficient in c# you can also write your own actions. Actually, i think combining scripts and FSM's brings the best of both worlds to the table.

As for troubleshooting, FSM's can be a drag to debug, but other than that the community on forum is really helpful and you shouldn't experience lack of help even on advanced topics
