(solved) Changing between virtual cameras/blending/priority?

Looking at old threads I saw some people were using ecosystem actions to change the priority on the virtual cameras.

I have different cameras and would like to switch between them smoothly.

I currently do this:

On trigger:
deactivate main camera
Activate second camera
Cut to second camera.

from what I’ve read, am I supposed to Keep all cameras activated and just change the Priority to “activate” them? If so where is there an action to this? Is is set property? I can’t seem to find anything relating to virutas camisetas and priorities.

Have you tried the action 'Set Main Camera'

Yes but that doesn’t solve the actually transitioning. I can get the cameras to switch just fine. But how do i do it SMOOTHLY. Like one panning to the other. I know how it works with just using cinemachine blending but how do I trigger this transition with playmaker?

With cinemachine virtual cameras, you can use activate the game object they are on and they will blend smoothly. I don't know if this is the intended way or not, but it works.

@DjDino this is what I saw on another thread before posting mine but I about fid it in the ecosystem. Was it taken down? I’ll try refreshing and searching again.

@thore Yes I’ve also read this on another thread but It’s not working. I have two cameras. If one camera has a higher priority, then it’s supposed to change smoothly to that one but it just hasn’t lol. I’ll keep trying to crack this.

Ok I figured it out. By simply importing a VCAM and activating it, it would animate the view to the activated cameras buttery smooth.

My confusion was using the patented cameras when using any of the other objects other than just a simple VCAM.

When you import a blend list or a dolly / track/cart, it comes parented with other items and it’s just confusing.lol thanks again guys.
