Title: [SOLVED] String TypeWriter: Level Load trouble.
Post by: createasaurus on December 08, 2014, 12:44:40 PM
I have the wonderful String Typewriter action.
I have Use Sounds so there is a beeping SFX for Typing Sound.

I run Load Level Action, to reload / restart the current level.
The beeping is now silent.

Thoughts on how to maintaining beeping sound after Level Load?

Thank you!

Is this in the editor or build?

Doesn't seem to repro in the editor, bounced between levels several times with no loss of audio.

It's in the build, and I'm building to Wii U.
I truly apologize that I been reporting unreproducible errors. (This and the dropping of the last letter.)
Perhaps these are unique to me and my setup with Wii U?

I suppose it is possible there is something specific to the Wii U. I don't have a Wii U license to test. I tried doing some builds and haven't been able to repro. It's possible something else is interfering, like a different asset in the project for audio or some such... It's odd that you see both the last characters dropping as well as this audio thing.

Hi Lane,

I'm very, very, very sorry.  I made a dumb mistake.  There is no trouble with your action for the SFX part.  When I level load, I had an additional unrelated action to disable all sound.  I'm very sorry for wasting your time with something like this... I just didn't catch it until now.

Thank you again,
All Best,
