Tutorial on using the new built in GUI

I'm a novice, trying to follow the Playmaker 101 course. The section on GUI is out of date and I've so far been unable to find a tutorial on using the built in GUI actions. Everything I have found talks about having to add the UGUI prefab, which of course no longer exists.
Any pointers would be gratefully received.

Hi.

Most of the ugui actions you can replace with Ui actions also you do not need to drop any prefab.
