Title: Add Force without Rigidbody
Post by: Rabagast on October 04, 2013, 05:27:33 AM
Hi!

I have no Rigidbody to my Character, since the gravity is in the script I'm using.
But then I can't use Add Force, since this require Rigidbody.
What can I do with this? Is it a way I can use Add Force without using Rigidbody?

Hi,

not really. a "force" is something that is part of the physics engine itself and it can't be applied to a non rigid body.

you can fake force by moving the object manually. but that's very limited in what you can achieve.

You can have rigid bodies without gravity, simply uncheck use gravity in the component.

 Bye,
