Title: probably simple animation question[solved]
Post by: saneinsylum on May 20, 2014, 04:20:07 PM
Root question: how do i animate things?
Ive made a few games just havin fun with playmaker using capsules, and cubes, but i got done with one id like to continue with.
I have a empty with an fsm for movement, i have a collider, and a capsule parented to it. I made a player in blender with a run animation.
I save the .blend in /assets or export fbx and i see my "run" in the inspector.
But when i replace the capsule with the player and try to add a play animation when up is pressed , it says "no animations on this object"
So i add the animation component to the empty and set it up like the fbx.
That doesnt work, so i copy/paste the movement fsm to the fbx and parent the collider to that. It still says no animations on the object.
So, how do i put the animation on the object?

Maybe you need to set the fbx's import settings (under rig) to legacy? (hopefully it's rigged)
