Title: Can only be saved in Assets folder
Post by: KnastGames on July 16, 2015, 04:42:43 AM
Hello :)

We just upgraded a game from 4.6 to 5.1.1f1. We did not use Playmaker in the project previously but just imported the newest playmaker version it into the project.

Everything works as it usally does. But we cannot save templates.
Its says 'Templates can only be saved  in the Projects Asset's Folder'.
Tried saving it in the Playmaker/Templates folder, our resources folder and directly in the Assets folder, without any luck.

We tested in on three different computers, but the same problem. Also tried to re-import Playmaker, but still the problem occurs.

Hope you can help :)

Kindest regards.

Hi,

Very odd. I assume you are on Windows? it could be your anti virus or that you don't run as administrator. Have you explored them possibilities?

Bye,

Hi,

just to double check, you are indeed pointing to a folder that is in the assets folder right? because indeed the warning is right, you can't save Unity assets outside the assets folder, so I suspect you should force the folder path back to point within the project assets.

Bye,

 Jean

Yes of cause i did :)

Just tested it in a new project in 5.1.1f1, and worked in that one :(
So seems like something fucked it up when porting the project from 4.6. Will investigate it some more and come back with an answer if i find out what the problem is.

Hi,

ok, good luck with this, cause porting from 4 to 5 is not an easy task.

 Bye,
