cant translate down unless i meke the Y at least negative 40. negative 30still renders as a very fast upward motion! what is applying this mystery force? it so perplexing.
It even happens to brand new objects. ><

What actions are you using here?
You make a new game object, add playmaker FSM, set translate to -1 every frame.
Might be something with Unity since that has happened to me so either try closing it and opening it again or a new project.

Hi,
It's very unlikely a problem with Unity, but more a problem of logical implementation.
Is your object a RigidBody?

no. every object I added to that game refused to translate in a negative direction on the Y axis unless I set the translate to more than 30Y
I deleted that game and started a new one, and now things will translate in the direction i cmd them to but as i suspected "is grounded" still does nothing. and the answers in the forum dont seem to help.

Hi,
This is very odd. Could you make a small scene with just one simple cube that shows this issue? package it and I'll have a look.

here is a screen shot of my broken game, I figured out what was wrong with my game by letting it run in the background for 3 minutes until an error registered. =) the error said "bad controller settings," or something.
i wonder which of the settings were bad? maybe you know? oh well =) back to being creative.
