Title: transition event selection by typing directly or copy paste
Post by: jeanfabre on February 24, 2012, 07:52:48 AM
Hi,

With my messy 200+ events, it becomes a fight to find the right event within a very-narrow-all-screen-long drop down menu. And the fact that events are not ordered makes it odd and difficult.

I would welcome the ability to alternativly open a search box type of ui where I can start typing the event name and the available list to pick from woud narrow down.

OR even better, being able to copy in the clipboard the reference of an event and then paste it in the transition or event action!

Select a transition or event anywhere in the fsm editor or various playmaker windows, and hit ctlr+c it would save a reference of that event. Then in actions and transitions, pasting in the current selection would detect it is an event or a transition and if valid would select that event.

 Bye,

 Jean

I'll try to add this when I add the popup New Event dialog.

In the meantime, I seem to remember Unity letting you type letters to jump to entries in long menus...?
