Title: Skinning/Rigging [Asset]

Hello,

I have a set of Editor tools for skinning meshes that I am working on.

How much interest is there in a low-cost skinning/rigging solution for Unity?

I still have a lot work to do, but things are moving along really fast.

current features: Skin Wrap, Weight Painting.

Hi,

I am getting closer to a final design for the Weight Painter Window.

Is anyone is interested in beta testing?

I am curious about what issues people have with skinning characters in other programs.

My biggest issues are with 3ds Max.

Hi,

I have added some new tools.

Blend-shape Wrap: Skinned Mesh's Blend-shapes to another Skinned Mesh.

Prefab-maker: For making prefabs with edited meshes, etc.

Hi,

 just stumbled on that post :) woah!

Go for free at first, and see how it gets picked up, you can then later do an upgrade with enough neew feature to make it a paid asset on the asset store and still give people a chance to get the free version on github or else. It's something I think works well without crossing developers who are notoriously picky about spending 1$ on a something that saves $$$$... so be careful with this aspect. Negative comments on an asset in the asset store and it's affecting very very badly sales. so going for a "sponsoring" approach makes more sense, it's paid on the asset store, but free to get outside the asset store. That's one way to approach this.
