Hi,
Have you updated to the latest PlayMaker? which version does it says in the PlayMaker welcome screen?
Bye,
Jean
-
hi jean, this is the welcome screen, i wasn't too sure on where to look

Hi,
you have 1.8.3 so not the latest. If you have errors in the Unity console that don't go away, you must manually install it, so download it from the Asset store and then import the package located in Assets/PlayMaker/editor/install/
pick the 1.8.4 package.

thanks Jean, everything is working fine now :D

Hi . . . I am suddenly getting these errors as well, on my first build attempt since upgrading to 5.6 / 1.8.4.
@jeanfabre, you say above to select the 1.8.4 package -- it seems that in the zip I downloaded, they are ALL 1.8.4, but for different versions of Unity, and with the most recent version being 1.5.4.
Did you mean pick the 1.5.4 version, or should there be one specifically for 1.5.6?
Thanks!
-
hi,
confusing, there is no 1.5.6 for unity and PlayMaker :)
You need to install PlayMaker 1.8.4, it shoudl be in that install folder,
What zip did you downloaded? you should get it from the Asset store, or did you purchased it from the hutong website? in which case yes, you need to pick up the latest package for Unity.
Bye,
Jean

Hi, thanks, Jean.
Yes, I always download from the link that was in the email I got when I first bought Playmaker. And yes, I figured I'd grab the latest version from the folder of the latest Unity version.
And still those errors persist, though they don't seem to actually impede running the app or compiling.
cheers

Hi,
you need to clean up your PlayMaker folder.
take out all the Templates and PlayMakerglobals asset from the PlayMaker Folder, delete it and reinstall PlayMaker.
you will get errors and so the PlayMaker wizard will not kick in, you need to manually install PlayMaker package inside "PlayMaker/Editor/install"
ALWAYS BACKUP BEFORE DOING THIS. and test on a copy as well to understand the process before doing it on your main project.
Bye,
Jean

I had to double click on:
> Assets > Playmaker > Editor > Install > Playmaker.1.8.4.unitypackage
to get it to install.
