Title: Smooth Look At: Up Vector...?
Post by: Red on June 20, 2012, 01:52:00 PM
So, i'm trying to decode what the up-vector does when using custom coordinates as opposed to the 0,0,0 vectors and it's behaving in such a way as to make it tricky for me to understand it's functionality and how/when you'd use this in a game... can someone explain it for me a bit better please?

thank you!

i´m also having problem with the "smooth look at"
I´v followed the mouse pick tutorial to have my character move around, everything works fine until I use the "smooth look at" action
I´m working 2d on YX plane (so rotation should be limited to the Z axis).
When I hit play any object with smooth look is rotated to the side like if set to work on the XZplane --> the sprite is turned on the side.
Have tried changing the up vector with no luck!

PS: I´m using 2dToolkit
