Title: Will playmaker support the Oculus Rift when Dev kits are out?
Post by: Monkee05 on August 05, 2012, 01:23:42 PM
This has been posted in the general area but I would love to know if Hutong Games had any future plans to support the Oculus Rift Dev Kit?

Apparently unity support works out of the box.

Cheers guys and cheers for playmaker, its such a great tool!

Hi,
It looks like Oculus Riftt is in PR-phase yet. It's probably good idea to let them finish design and manufacture working viable product.

Hi,

this will have very little to do with playmaker. When such device will be out, it will simply control the camera, that's it really. You won't have to do any setup since the goal of such device is to totally take control of the viewpoint. We might have few settings or preferences we will access, but I suspect they will be done during editing, not in game. If, however, in game set up is possible, we will most definitely make the necessary actions for you to control it right within playmaker.

 bye,
