Title: Wrong Action Sequence
Post by: BonzerKitten on August 10, 2019, 02:06:51 AM
Hi! I'm kinda new here and full of noob question, so take it easy with me, please.

So, I'm trying to make my character look at a specific position and then move to this position very fast, so I used "Look At 2D" and "Add Relative Force 2D", but PlayMaker is running actions in the wrong sequence. It always apply the force first and the direction later. I already tried to use "Action Sequence" but it didn't make any difference. How can I solve this? Is this a bug?  ???

Thanks in advance.  :)

Hi,
Are they on the same state? if yes check if LookAt is on top of Force2D. Sometimes when I want some actions playing simultaneously, I call a specific Global Event with Broadcast all...and those actions must be on seperate FSMs

P.S. Why using Force instead of Velocity?

Hope it help :)

Hey!

Yes, they're on the same state and "Look At 2D" is on top of "Add Relative Force", so technically they should work properly. As I said, I even tried to use "Action Sequence", but it didn't helped either.

I'm using Force instead of Velocity because I want to recreate this mechanic: https://img.itch.zone/aW1hZ2UvMjY4MDE4LzEyOTI3MjkuZ2lm/original/hCbnLA.gif

How can I contact Jean to check if this really is a bug?

What I see in the gif it's that you have a State with your looking at mouse and Fire button actions. and then going to a second state containing the Force action dependent of where you click the mouse and going straight back to the first state.
