Title: Reskinning PlayMaker to look like Mecanim?
Post by: nrvllrgrs on September 18, 2012, 11:35:59 AM
I'm curious if PlayMaker will be reskinned to look/behave similar to Mecanim when Unity 4 releases. Personally, I like having very similar workflows between tools. Learn one work flow instead of several different ones...you know how it goes.

We'll definitely steal ideas from Mecanim where applicable to improve workflow. However Mecanim has access to the Unity editor in ways that we don't (e.g. the Inspector panel).

indeed!

At Unite, we could really feel that a lot more of these graph and fsm based editor are going to be designed and used on other Unity features, and  we can thank PlayMaker for having lead the way with a perfect blend of visual editing and productivity.

bye,
