Title: Use FSMs in other projects. [SOLVED]
Post by: BruceT on November 12, 2012, 05:26:09 PM
Hi all,

I have searched for this but there never seems to be a definitive answer.

I have tried various things relating to searches about using FSMs in other projects but they were not specific to the problem. I saw one guy ask the same question but all he essentially got was some stick about terminology.

I created a simple waypoint system using Playmaker (a simple FSM on a single object) and want to use it in other projects.

So the question is; Is there a way to use FSMs in other projects?

You should be able to just export the scene objects and prefabs in a unitypackage and import the unitypackage into the new project.

If you use globals, include Playmaker/Resources/PlayMakerGlobals.asset in the export.

Make sure you have Playmaker installed in the new project BEFORE importing the FSMs.

Alex, please don't take this the wrong way but I want to have your babies! You are a life saver.

I love Playmaker, it's so simple even I can use it. So I was disheartened when I thought I couldn't use the FSMs in other projects.

Many many many thanks and some more thanks for good luck.
