Title: License question before buying

Hi all :)
Just saw this amazing asset on store page and I'm consider buying this.
But I also noticed there's "one license per seat" notice.

I'm not really familar with how asset store works.

So I'm wondering, I am using Unity free now, if I buy play maker with this free version of Unity, would I be able to continue use play maker I bought after I upgrade to Unity pro?

And Unity pro license says I can install it on two different computers of mine. (a laptop and a desktop)
Does that means I can install play maker on these two computers of mine without problem?

I now this looks like noob question because I'm really new to unity ;D
It'd be great if I can get some answers before buying, thanks~ 8)

I don't know how they do it in the assetstore, but you can always import PlayMaker into an empty project and then go Assets/Export... to export it to a package. Then you can take that package wherever you want, on any computer (PlayMaker itself does not have some kind of fancy mechanism to stop you. The only possiblility would be the assetstore, and as I mentioned, it is quite simple to go around).

Or you just buy it on hutonggames.com , where you'll get update notifications sent to you by email and an online link which you can use to download the plugin unlimited times.

I've purchased it on asset store, don't want to miss the sale price. ;D

After downloading it, I have to say it's truly amazed me, it has so much to offer :o
Don't have much time, just tried the play maker a little bit.
Gonna spend more time study the docs and the sample.

Hi,

good question about your per seat vs per install. I would guess that it's per install really, just like Unity license, but you should contact Alex to get a confirmation of that.

Hi All,
I know this is an old post sorry for digging it up, but I have recently bought
a license for Playmaker which I am running on my desktop.
I would like to also have it installed on my laptop ,using only one computer at a time of course, so was there any conclusion drawn on this subject?

it is stated per seat meaning per user, not per machine
so you should be fine with using it on your laptop.

as long as you are the 1 who is using it ofc.

but to be 100% sure you should contact Alex
