Title: group states
Post by: Sjones on March 03, 2013, 06:57:16 PM
It would be great for organisational purposes to be able to group several states into a grouping box, when moved can move all states in the box, and to set the colour of the box to distinguish that area for a set of actions that do a particular thing for example.

The unreal development kit has a similar feature for their shader editor for an example of what I am referring to.

Indeed. Copy/paste functionality for the section would be handy too.

+1 for this idea. Also, the ability to label the box with a description.

Oh right, trying to think how this could be shown visually is tricky and was thinking a simple 'select by color' option could be a handy (easy to implement?) method. So a group would be simply colored all blue or red etc and you could select it via a right click, select by color.

Thoughts?

Hi,

Yes, it would be great to have such abilitity to have meta ui widget to document, organize Fsm. it would be great also if you would collapse such groups... oh well :)
