Title: How to access the device camera?

Wondering if anyone has done this?

I'd like to be able to either access pictures from a device or take a picture with the device camera and store it.

Hi,

http://attrecto.com/en/ has a android asset on the store "Photo plugin"

and prime31 etceterea plugin give access to the ios camera as well.

I guess I can just use 'Get Property', etc with these to get data from them?

Hi,

 Well, it will require likely more, at least few custom actions, and maybe a proxy to catch delegates...

Hey Jean,

I was wondering, would this also be the solution for "screengrabs" from the phone. I hope this could be a future playmaker action. :)

Anyone? I would like to set up a button in my app where you can take a picture with the device camera. Is there a tutorial or step by step available on how to set that up? OR, has anyone on this forum done this that can respond?

Hi,

 Yep, I would actually use that prime31 to grab the camera image.

I don't own this plugin unfortunatly. Hopefully someone can step in, else pm to arrange something.

Have there been any developments which would allow capturing photos and/or videos from the device using Playmaker actions?

We're working on something where we need to capture and then pass images/videos to Facebook from within the game.

yes,i just used that for my latest game, look in the ecosystem, screenshot with game camera and save as texture. type screenshot cuz i don't remember the exact action
